Ask your nurse about when they will no longer allow you to eat. I was induced last Wednesday and was allowed to eat until the contractions were regular and strong. I was allowed fluids until I got the epi, so ask you might be able to eat longer than most people think.
Just expect the process to take a long time. Some inductions are speedy but many take a while. It was about 36 hours from the start of mine until dd was born, but the first 14 or so hours was a lot of waiting around for things to kick in. I agree about the eating thing, if you are allowed to eat do it! Bring something to do in case your induction is like mine, I'm glad I had my lap top and kindle with me! And good luck, don't be nervous!
Just got back from the doctor and I'm going in 2 hours to be induced. I'm definitely losing it. Can't stop crying. I'm scared. I should be excited right? I'm just so emotional I can't pull it together. Going to get dinner now. Good luck to all.
