So we set a date for our wedding of July 31, 2015 at a local restraunt/bar/event center. The building used to be a machine shop and then was renovated. It's actually a really popular place to have weddings now. We are also doing it on a Friday night since more people are likely to show up in the summer as it doesn't disrupt their whole weekend. Basically, it's going to be pretty laid back and have more of a party/fun atmosphere.
Anyway.. My question is, do you think it is tacky to have a pizza buffet? There would be different kinds of (award winning) gourmet pizzas made by the venue, salads, bread, and pasta salads.
I want the wedding to be nice but not super formal. And I want it to be fun and memorable.
TIA!! And I promise not to bombarde you guys with wedding questions for the next year.. Perhaps I will join the knot.

And NOT this
And we are just trying to get ideas right now. Every good place to get married around her requires booking 1 to 2 years in advance so that's why we are planning so early

I think it's a great idea, especially with gourmet pizzas and a couple really nice salads. Plus cold pizza is a million times better than cold dried out chicken that you get at a lot of weddings.
