I decided this season I wasn't going to pay extra to keep HBO after GoT to watch True Blood, it's just been so terrible the last couple seasons, but I'll still read the spoilers, glad to see I am not missing much!
This show has so aggressively jumped the shark it's amazing.
They should have just ended the show after Jason's dream last week.
Laura sent me the buzzfeed article recapping said dream while I was at work. I have no willpower and definitely enjoyed it while working...no matter how blatantly inappropriate that was. But dayum!!!
Oh yes, bless Buzzfeed for helpfully capturing that scene in gif form.
Also, please give Laura a smooch and tell her we miss her!
I have a huge lady boner for Alcide, so I am really sad that he's gone. I hate Sookie more and more with each episode, and Vampire Bill is really starting to age. Half of the reason I am still watching this is to make fun of it, the other half is for the eye candy.
Uninvited stranger who is enjoying this board way too much, lurking from *gasp O13 popping in to ask if anyone has read all of the book versions? Not that the show follows them close at all.

Holy run on sentence.
I read all the Wikipedia pages. Does that count?
If you know who Sookie is having all the sex with by the last page it does.

I've read the series multiple times. It's one of my favorite series.
My favorites are Harry Potter (of course) Women of the underworld series, born at midnight series, twilight (hangs head in shame), the nice girls series by Molly Harper. Those are just series. I could go on and on.

Women of the Underworld? Hmmmm never heard of it but Amazon will be telling me all about it after all this effing laundry.
DH got me reading about Sookie. We had just met and I went home and bought the first book right away. 5 min into it I was like what kind of weirdo is this dude. So naturally I married him and had babies.
Right now I'm reading the most recent book from the Outlander Series. Every night when I go to bed I say a prayer for George R.R. Martins type writer. And I'm anxiously waiting on the third book in The Passage trilogy.
I never read Twilight but I watched the abs I mean movies.
Finally watched last night. Just terrible. What a snooze fest. It's like a soap opera: too many characters, time killing with pointless dialogue, gratuitous sex, and maybe one exciting moment per episode to keep you interested. The Eric backstory seems really bizarre and out of place. The backstory with Russel was awesome back in season four or whatever it was. This backstory? Seems really forced. The bill "I am a new person" crap? Terrible! We spent years getting to know the character. He was complex and sometimes hate able, but now I guess we all wasted our goddamn time because voila! clean slate. What a stupid cop out just to get Sookie/bill back together. And for the record, I'm in the 1% that likes them together, but this clean slate stuff is just shit. Why did they bring back Sarah? Nooobody cares. Lastly, the character of violet is just gross. She is sexually abusive, controlling, and manipulative. I can't tell if the writers want us to like her or not. If they do, screw you, writers. Having Jason sexually abused over and over is so wrong (cougar girl rape, pedophile teacher, etc).
I can't get the ticker to work, but I have two sons:
Re: True Blood 7/6 spoiled, and pretty much ruined
Did Holly survive the shoot out? She was there next to Sookie and then she wasn't and then all attention was on Alcide. WTF. So mad.
DH joked that everyone but Sookie will die. He might be onto something.
I don't want her with Bill.
Also, please give Laura a smooch and tell her we miss her!
If you want to speak ill of the dead, may I suggest Maxine Fortenberry.
(And yes, Maxine Fortenberry was horrible. Good riddance.)
Holy run on sentence.
