Alright so I'm just about 40 weeks. I have been told by my doctors that today they will decide whether or not to induce me and when. My apt isn't until 4:45pm, so I basically have the day to relax or be anxious about everything hahaha...

Regardless I am being harassed by everyone who has my phone number about when the apt is, how do I feel, do I need a ride anywhere? Also if I call someone for a non baby related question or convo it is assumed that I am I'm labor. I realize they are all excited and/or concerned, but I would like to take a nap, make some pancakes, and watch True Blood uninterrupted. Also if I want to go somewhere I can drive there myself. Thank you and have a nice day. {end rant}

blast out a group text saying that you're fine, and that you need some down time before the appointment, put your phone on mute, and go about your business. that's what i would do.

I agree. I've been taking a nap daily and besides my mom and husband knowing I'm laying down with the phone off, I just figure everyone else can wait til I wake up in 2 hours to get back to them.

I keep getting calls, texts, and even those awkward people who are looking at my bump saying, "You haven't had that baby yet?!!" Ugh.. At least you will get some answers soon! Lol good luck on the results from your appt!

I stopped answering my phone a month ago. I trained everyone to leave me the F alone. I can handle the mom/grandma/MIL and that is my limit.

I'm only 37 weeks and my MIL calls every day asking if I'm in labor yet. I don't know why she thinks we won't call and let her know when I go into labor, but my DH finally told her to stop calling because he's getting annoyed. If I were you I would put my phone on do not disturb mode for a bit and get some well deserves R&R. Good luck at your appt!

Yes this... every time we make a call we start the convo with "it's not baby time" because we noticed everyone was always so excited to get our call lately. Put your phone on mute and enjoy your last few hours :-)

Yeah, that's, unfortunately, how it seems to go at this point. Every time I call my Mom or Dad or DH calls MIL, they get all excited and then let down when they realize we are not calling because I'm going into labor. Hell, this morning I had to call work about being a little late (forgot my computer at home and had to go back and get it) and she got all excited. MIL is the worst, though. She thinks, for some reason, we will not call her when I go into labor and is stressing about it.

Drives me crazy too. I'm a very public person who tells everyone everything, so doesn't everyone think maybe I will let the world know when the baby comes? When people ask if there's a baby yet I just want to be like "Yeah, he was born last week, why?"
