No 40 weeks for me...baby girl is THREE days old! It's so weird to not be pregnant anymore
I was excited to see my due date buddy, @earichar, is now a birthday buddy...welcome to the world Adelinde!
Only celebrations today on my successful labor and delivery and an insanely easy recovery thus far.
We were able to bring Arya home on the 4th. Not much 4th action though...I went to bed early with the baby since I knew i had to be up often to feed her.
Would be 39 weeks, but DS2 is 4 days old. My celebrations are my recovery has been smooth in the fact that I did not tear, so I'm thankful for that. We also got to bring DS2 he yesterday after an overnight stay in the NICU for phototherapy. We had the Coombs factor, so our blood types mixed in the placenta, which causes high bilirubin levels. My vent is also my recovery. I have been having a horrific backache due to my epidural. The lady who did it had to find it twice, and that was so incredibly painful I yelled at DH telling him I'm never having any more kids. Motrin and painkillers are helping me through the day. The 4th was hard for me because I was released and DS2 was sent to the NICU. After being released we went to dinner with my family and took DS1 to watch fireworks.
Celebrations: got my thalassemia results back-negative! That's a huge weight off of me as it means LO won't have to be tested when he's born.
Vents: my odd unknown brain condition has decided to remind me it's still around. I wish the docs could figure it out since it's made life hell for me for three years. Latest idea this time to treat it is with a daily dose of flexural (not filled it yet.)
We didn't do anything for the 4th since I'm now on full bedrest and DF had to work that night.
Vents: I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever.
QOTW: it poured all day here on the 4th so we just relaxed inside all day and tried to comfort the puppies during the fireworks. Yesterday was gorgeous though so DH and I took a long walk and then spent the afternoon in the pool.
Congrats to everyone with outside babies!!

Celebrations: We had our 36 week ultrasound last week, and our doctor said she is very happy with how little girl looks! Everyone's been making me nervous talking about how I'm too small, so it was a relief to hear she's about 5 lbs 14 oz and just right And my best friend is coming to stay with us for a night this week! I'm super excited to hang out with her.
QOTW: We spent the day at my parent's house and the in-laws came, too. We came back early to be with our pooch during firework time, so we had a pretty relaxing evening!
Congratulations to everyone with an outside baby! I'm so happy for all of you!!

Congrats on baby Arya @mrscurlygurl !!! And glad to see her echo looked good!
I'm 38 weeks and my bug is a pumpkin!!! She has been super active today, so I think she's excited about her pumpkin status.
Celebrations: I slept SO good today. It was amazing. Vents: the waiting game is driving me nuts.
For the 4th, DH and I met up with my family for a parade and BBQ. It was a really nice time! We got in some quality time sitting lakeside in a park by the parade too and I was the lucky recipient of a foot rub.
mrscurlygurl! Baby Adelinde also arrived a few days early this week at 39w+. She is now 3 days old just like Arya! I love that we'll be birthday buddies too!
Celebration is that Adelinde is here and healthy and that she came when she was ready (I was requested to schedule an induction for this coming Wednesday if she hadn't arrived by then and was very upset by it). Vent is that my birth experience was really scary. After many hours of 1 1/2 minute contractions every 2 minutes with barely any progress I gave in to the epidural and since I have low blood pressure to begin with my heart rate dropped to almost nothing. They were forced to medically stop labor to stabilize me and then I had to get the dreaded Pitocin and after everything my epidural didn't fully "take" so I felt the last 2 hours of labor fairly well (including my third degree tear). The whole experience has left me rather confused about what I want when we attempt this the second time around.
We were still in the hospital on the 4th so we didn't do anything patriotic.

Water broke July 4th around 10pm, contractions started shortly after. Delivered her July 5th at 8:02 PM after 22 hours of labor.
We are still in the hospital and expect to be released tomorrow.
Qotw: We hung out at home because our 4 dogs get super scared of the fireworks. Then of course we went to the hospital.
Congrats to all outside babies and I hope you ladies have an awesome week!

37 weeks & a winter melon
Vents: just tired of being pregnant and the usual heartburn, soreness, lack of sleep
Celebrations: I made it full term!
QOTW: it rained on the 4th so DH and I had a lazy day watching movies and hanging out with our dogs!
