How can I achieve this hair look?

I have naturally wavy hair that I basically always straighten with a flat iron. I've tried embracing the natural wave but it's not consistent all around my head and never looks good. I really like this look but don't know how to achieve it. Would I use a curling iron, triple barrel iron, something else? Any ideas?

@rainbowdasher‌ that sounds just like my hair! It won't hold a curl that's why I wanted to try embracing the waviness!

I have the world's straightest hair, but I've been saying in a "beach waves" spray and air dying and getting some waves close to that. Smells good, too.

I think it's called "not your mom's beach spray" or something like that. I bought it at Ulta and it was like 6 bucks.

My hair is sorta like this. I hold my head upside down with damp gelled hair, scrunch, and use a defuser on my dryer for a few minutes. Super easy. I prefer straight but it is way too time consuming

@rainbowdasher‌ do you have a video on hand? I'm interested in trying that but I can't picture in my head what you're saying. It's pretty straightforward till I get the stick to the middle of the bun then you lose me
