I was looking at hotel prices in CT because we wanted to take DD to the Mystic Aquarium next Saturday and figured we could head down there next Friday night.  The only reason I am debating is because I would hate to book a hotel room and have to cancel if I were to go into labor.  I had DD at 37 weeks and I am hoping this LO waits until his due date!  I looooove the aquarium and DD keeps asking for sea animals.  There are aquariums closer to us, but Mystic is the family favorite so far! Would you book hotel for a weekend away at this point (I will be 37 weeks at that point) or would you stay local?  I feel like the lack of sleep is making me less decisive than usual... thanks!

    I would definitely hold off. You don't want to be somewhere else and go in labor. I would much rather be closer to home. Their will be plenty of time to do things once baby is here.

    My first 2 were born at exactly 37 weeks (not twins & I was charting so accurate dates) and my 3rd was born at 38 weeks. So for me, I don't plan anything past 36 weeks and stay near home since I have short labors as well.

    Thanks!  Yes after sometime to think about it, we decided it was best to stay local for the weekend and just hit up the beach instead!  Better safe than sorry. Thanks everyone. :)
