Pill period question

I thought I got my period a few weeks ago. I had cramping and some bleeding. So I started taking my pill like I was told to do. I've taken it for 2 weeks now and my period started up again. How should I continue taking my pill. Like always? Stop and wait until my period ends- that maybe the last time wasn't my period- and start it up like I did last time.
