Help Please

I just lay down on my side and had sharp pain on both sides of my bump. Then got up to use the restroom and the pain got worse. Now I am laying on my back with the pain still there. If Ai lay on either side it hurts worse.
Not sure what it is. Dr. Google says it might be RLP. But I just don't know. All i want to do is go to sleep.
Thanks.

You may just have RLP or strained your abdominal muscles on the side while lying down and getting up. If you just felt the one bit of sharp pain and now you're just feeling the residual lingering pain, I think you should try to relax and get some sleep. But if the sharp pain happens repeatedly, I'd call your nurse line. I haven't had BH contractions yet, so I don't know how bad those might hurt. Sorry you hurt!

  • That sounds like round ligament pain to me. That's how it's been for me. When that happens I drink a ton and take 2 Tylenol. But I would call the doctor and go in, it's best to have it checked out. Sorry you are in pain!

  • Thanks ladies. I was able to get some sleep and not waking up to any pain which is good. I did do a lot of moving stuff yesterday so that may have had something to do with it.

  • I have this quite a bit. It happens to me when I lay down and sometimes if I try to get up from sitting. My dr didn't give me an "official name" of what causes it but basically said it's the muscles stretching. As long as it isn't a crampy pain just try to rest and get up slowly.
