What's going on this weekend?

Dh came down to my parent's house to join us yesterday. He told me how upset he was that I had left early, how we needed a date, and how much he loved me. This morning we took the kids out to breakfast and now C is running off steam at the local playground that ingrew up running around while Charlie and I soak up some sun.

We got through the morning without dd being super fussy and she has been napping for an hour and a half which is great for us. I am wearing her but this is the best uninterrupted daytime sleep I have gotten from her pretty much ever in her three weeks. I managed to have a second cup of coffee and sit out to get fresh air while wearing her sleeping and ds napping. Also, we got her more stimulated in her waking hours and that made her less cranky. Her constant fussing and crying when awake was hard on all of us and hopefully giving her more stimulation and trying harder to make her nap will help. Hopefully this is the start of a happier girl. Even if it mean I have to wear her during her naps it's fine. I enjoy it and walking around with an extra 11 pounds strapped to me can help me get some exercise in before I can get back to the gym

I took DD to her second pedi appt this morning all by myself (first time latching/unlatching the carseat alone and going anywhere alone with her) and she has put on 7oz since Wednesday! We are so thrilled because she was down 13% from her birth weight earlier this week and now she's only down 7%. This reaffirms for me that the crazy nurse/supplement/pump schedule we are on currently is 100% worth it.

DH and I are staying home today and being lazy. Gonna download movies to watch and just chill. Tomorrow we're going on a bike ride while my mom babysits. I can't wait!

Today is the start of the Tour de France, so for the next 3 weeks, we at least have something to watch while we're stuck at home.

Makes me excited for going there next year (not during the tour though) with DD.

LO was way overstimulated when we got home last night (longest we had ever been out, so many new people holding him, etc.). He was freaking out so I stripped him down and did skin to skin. It instantly calmed him down and he passed out. It made me feel like super mom that I was able to figure it out and fix it.

Dd1 took a 4 hour nap, was awake for an hour and a half and then slept her normal 8-7am. Guess all the beach time on the 4th was exhausting for a 3yo!

Dd2 was also pretty chill last night though she's still up every 3-3.5 hrs. Still hoping for one 5-hr stretch soon!

A couple from our church wanted to do something to bless us, so they went shopping and bought some of our favorite snacks and breakfast/lunch items. Then they brought it all over 9! Friday with Dunkin Donuts for everyone. It was just so sweet! Today we are going to church for the first time since the babies came and I'm excited to see people

I have another one - yesterday we all took our first walk with LO in the stroller as a family (me, DH, LO and my stepson) and it was beautiful and a nice break from our routine and being cooped up inside!

This morning I fed LO at around 4, and then pumped the other side, 7 rolls around she starts fussing (which is her normal 3 hour interval), DH gets up, takes her downstairs to sit with her and feeds her the bottle so I can sleep in. I woke up at 9:30! That's the most sleep I've gotten in two weeks!

I then reserved the Uhaul, reserved hotel rooms for the nights needed, and emailed the daycare we plan on using for the girls. AND I applied for a job with my old company in an office where I happen to be good friends with the hiring manager. Go me!!

Visited my parents yesterday and got to see an old friend today. LO also didn't fight going back to sleep last night after each of his feeds so we got some decent sleep, even if it was only 3 hours at a time.
