Nesting

It feels early, but I feel myself starting to prep. I have been cleaning out closets, throwing things away, deep cleaning, and setting things up! Started painting letters for her room. We had a glider on our registry, but fell in love with this one over the weekend. It was a steal $188 off! Changer and dresser set up and of course crib is back ordered.

Any one else setting up, how's it going?

My husband and I have a lot of busy weekends ahead and he said last night "I'm looking forward to all of our plans, but I wish we were just staying at home and putting the nursery together." I was like, "you're NESTING!!!!!!" So sweet--he's feeling it before I am.

I went through and donated two heaping laundry baskets of clothes two weekends ago and I keep painting things for our nursery. We put the crib together Sunday, I painted her room and we put up the curtains. Hoping to start restoring a dresser from my grandparents house white for her dresser/changing table this weekend! I'm definitely in this nesting phase!

I've been doing lots of cleaning, reorganizing, and de-cluttering. DH lives in fear that he'll come home and I'll have thrown away or donated all of his stuff.

Love your letters! I have been nonstop cleaning/ and organizing but I really need to start shopping! I feel like I can't throw anything away because DS is only 2 and I am having another boy so I feel like I should keep everything gah! So frustrating!

I am! We wont have a nursery for this baby until we move. We only have a very small 2 BR house and she will sleep in our room till we move. So I have been busy going through DD1s clothes, toys etc and sending stuff to the goodwill. Ive never had such a clean house so often and have been even keeping up with laundry! Ive been baking and cooking more than normal too.

Love it! I am still in the procrastination mode....if you don't mind me asking where did you get the glider and the diaper changing table? Those are two items still on my list to purchase and I'm really struggling with finding ones I like. Thanks.

I am so there...can't do the nursery yet because waiting on the furniture- won't have till early August - which includes a glider my friend is giving me - love friends. But been cleaning out closets, organizing, donating and even got DH realizing he needs to clean up basement storage and his closet... And we framed these wonderful Pooh lithographs I've had for years and will hang them this weekend. DH kindly painted the nursery while I was away in April, so I didn't have to be around the fumes and I just bought all the closet organizer stuff I wanted for Lo's closet - and put it up last weekend. Still feels like there is so much to do though.

I have been nesting for a while. Our nursery is pretty much done. I am working on painting letters for his name to go above his crib. I have the base color on all of them and I just have to paint the design on them. Then the nursery will be done. I have been cleaning random things like all the trash cans in the house and I'm obsessed with pulling the weeds in the yard. I have been cleaning out the closets too and have thrown away a ton of stuff.

I am looking forward to that part this weekend with DH. Reorganize the dog's room and other closets. Put stuff in shed and paint the nursery. Starting to slowly nail down our registries. Trying to see if DH and I can maybe spend some time at BRU to see about car seat and such. Maybe while the paint dries. I need to start to clean out the small stuff from the nursery to see what can be donated and what we need to keep. Also DH is going to be working on a toy box for the nursery too. Maybe some clothes shopping for me too. :!! I guess a busy weekend ahead.

We got the glider from BRU, someone had special ordered it and then returned it! The changer is part of the fisher-price Kingston series in Snow White. I think we actually got it off way fair.com bc the store didn't have that one!

I haven't done much this time around either. I'm mostly working on getting DD's Big Girl Room ready. Don't have a ton to do for the nursery although we are changing the color scheme/bedding - but we are NOT painting!

We have not started yet, I am traveling next week for two weeks and we decided to start after I come back, we still have to go shopping the essentials, so there is a looong way before us.

I've been in nesting mode mentally, but not physically. I have all these things I want to do. But I don't have the energy to do it by myself, and DH works a lot so not much has been done so far. We both have next week off though, so he's going to see if he can get his brother to help us move the furniture that needs moved (everything in both bedrooms, and a few things in the living room) so I can start doing the things I can actually handle.

We don't have our crib or rocking chair yet. The crib is being gifted to us so we'll get it whenever our generous friends buy it. We plan on buying the rocking chair next month. At least we already have that picked out!

No major nesting here but we have been slowly preparing the nursery since February. Now, we just need the crib and we can decorate. Crib will be bought in mid to late July.

DH was excited that I dusted the master bedroom and did a quick clean of the bathrooms (toilets and sinks) on Saturday morning. He thought I was nesting. I informed him that I was bored and was waiting for him to finish up his homework, so I might as well clean as there was nothing on TV to watch.

I'm there mentally, just not physically like a PP said. The nursery's being pieced together in my head though! lol. Furniture should arrive sometime this month so maybe I'll get the urge then. I have the bedding and purchased a bookcase (still haven't taken it out of the box though!) And I have some ideas for wall art but we haven't decided on a name yet so my ideas are on hold for now. I wish the urge would come quick though, my house needs a serious cleaning!

This is exactly where I am. The house looks like we just moved in and is still pretty much empty (we've been here 1.5 years!) so we're starting to tackle those types of projects. But thinking about nursery decor seems so silly right now when we haven't done major stuff like pick a daycare or decide on a name. I tried making a list, but it just turned into a list of lists to make and I jumped ship. 3 months is *plenty* of time, right?! *glances around nervously*

I have been nesting for a long time now, since my morning sickness went away. We moved into this house in February, and it took me a few months to get it into order because of being so sick in the 1st trimester. Once I got the house finished, I've been working hardcore in the nursery - doing lots of crafty projects.

I always click on these discussions like, awww, nesting! then end up stressed out the more I scroll through, especially seeing the photos of the nurseries. I should post a pic of our "nursery" -- right now it's a lovely office, with a big desk and lots of books and a chair you could never nurse/rock a baby in. There is a onesie on the desk, though, plus two cute stuffed animals and some baby booties. Does that count?

Last weekend DH and I cleaned out all of the closets and cabinets in our place! Donated so much stuff to Goodwill and also moved things to our storage, so I guess we were both nesting. Our crib is still in the box, as far as setting up anything for the baby we have only placed her name placard on the wall.

I have been nesting like crazy trying to get things done before school starts back next month. We have the crib set-up, the dresser, closet is organized, etc. I just ordered drapes today and am waiting on a few more things to come on.

My nesting urges come and go in spurts. A couple of weeks ago, I completely tore everything out of our hallway closets and reorganized everything. I did the same with our pantry a couple months ago.

I am mentally itching to get the nursery put together but have to rely on DH to do most of the heavy lifting first. We finished painting over the weekend and he tore out the closet. He wants to rebuild it into more of a closet system, so I need to wait on him to do that before I can go through all of DS's clothes and organize those.

Otherwise, I need his help placing the furniture and putting the crib together.

My birthday is on the 4th and I've been begging DH to pass on whatever gift he has planned because I'd rather get the crib and set it up. If he paints this weekend like he has planned I can start to make some real progress on the nursery!

I have been in major nesting mode- cleaning and organizing like a mad woman! lol! Been selling stuff we don't need or use and using that extra money towards things I want for this baby. We don't do a nursery as we prefer to co-sleep and keep baby in our room anyhow. However, we have a very large master bedroom with a nook area that we use for the baby's things that do stay in our room. SO changer/dresser etc...We side car the crib to our bed. I am waiting on my custom crib skirt to get here and a custom crib sheet to match the rag quilt I already had made months ago (doing a cute cowgirl theme). We already bought our Britax Chaperone carseat in cowmooflage print a couple months ago and all I need to get is my Britax stroller to go with it. Other than that I am still getting my 3 yr old son a toddler bed/mattress since he doesn't co-sleep anymore....and I have already stocked up on blankets, basic clothing and such. Think all I really have left is the items mentioned previously and I plan a trip to the mall to just have some fun buying cute outfits and whatever else I want to get our baby girl. :-)

Nesting is in full swing here. However, I haven't been able to focus on the baby's room because we just moved into a new house and I'm busy putting everything in it's place. I always think about what I'm going to do in the baby's room but we need other things done around here first. I can't wait to get started!

Nesting is in full swing over here.. Not just the babies room... Like every room in the house..... I now have a ton of started projects that need some finishing... WaHoo for a holiday wknd!!! Love seeing everything you ladies are doing! Looking goooood!!

I've been making baby bedding all weekend. It is still a work in progress..

Blue and gray minky sheet
And green dot, blue stripe, geometric base

Kind if hard to see. I forgot they don't make shams anymore to go to the ground when in the up postion. I wish I had remembered and made it longer.

Man do yourself a favor and pay someone or buy it!! Btw my crib is solid white..it turned blue in picstitch

Id say my "nesting" mode hit in the last week or so. I get started on one thing and keep cleaning/organizing for hours. I carpet cleaned our living room carpet on the 4th, I've pulled all of the stuff out of our front closet to wash, started getting rid of unused kitchen stuff... That kind of thing. DH actually makes me sit down to take a break lol
