BM has strep throat - how convenient!

BM was supposed to have the kids tomorrow per the CO.  But, just texted to tell DH she "has strep throat".  Mmhmm.  Let's see.  In the last six months, she hasn't taken the kids on numerous occasions because she had a migraine, thought she had a brain tumor, has a blood clot in her brain, and now, because she has strep throat.  Never mind that most of these medical breakdowns occur when DH knows their old friends are planning a party.

SO.  Hrm.  Wonder where the party is tonight that's going to keep her from taking the kids tomorrow...

  • How sad that she's rather party than see her own child. Oh well, her loss your gain - more time for you with the kids.

  • Yep - DH will be happy anyway - he is cooking a huge dinner tomorrow, and the boys will at least be home with us to enjoy it this way.

    **Sigh**

  • Can you enforce it?  I know that sending them to her is not the most "welcome" thing...but if you say "Oh well, you are going to have to figure out something on your own.", what can she do?

Because if she was actually DIAGNOSED with Strep, she would have antibiotics and would no longer be contagious.

It seems she finds reasons to not take them and I wouldn't want them going to someone like that.

  • DH relishes every moment the are home with us rather than with her - which, really, given the regressing that SS (8) did last week, I'm ok with.  SO, instead we'll document that she's not even taking them, so that when DH goes back to court for more child support, and she threatens to go for more visitation, we can prove she's not even taking what she currently has.

(FYI - she pays $50/month TOTAL for all 3 kids, and has them Sundays 10-7, and Thursday nights from 6:30-8pm.  Oh, and SD doesn't even go to her house anymore.  Lovely.)

Wow, this lady is really the worse of the BM's we complain about here!!  You know what? YOu are better off with your kiddos at home!!  You know where your priorities are and your SS will remember this . . . Happy New Year!

  • Strep throat...nice.  My ex had throat cancer that magically disappeared once.  Like that?  Nice huh?  One day he was bleeding from his throat, then he had numerous dr. appointments and then was supposed to have a 5 day hospital stay with chemo that never happened.  I guess it just went away or something.

Happy new year!  I personally can't wait to put this m*therf*cker of a year behind me! :)  To new beginnings!
