I was beyond exhausted yesterday and literally couldn't keep my eyes open. Both kids were out by 7:30pm and I was so excited to curl up on the couch and pass out. Do you think I could fall asleep? NOPE! WTF?!

Then DD woke up at 11:30pm, 1:30am, 4am (I then brought her in bed), and 6:30am. I'm so tired! Not to mention DH woke me up at midnight because he opened the window and threw a beer bottle at the raccoon ripping apart the garbage (klassy, I know). Now there's broken glass in the driveway so I couldn't just let the dogs out this morning and I had to go out with them. He better go clean it up immediately!

I discovered using those magic erasers worked wonders on cleaning the high chair straps.

Really? I love the magic eraser, especially for soap scum in the shower. I'll have to try it on the straps, they get gross.

FYI QVC sells the magic erasers under a generic label and they are a fraction of the cost. My mom got me a huge bag of them for like $20 and they are exactly the same.

  • Heading home from the beach :( DH is leaving tomorrow for a week. Pre baby days I would do projects and paint some room in the house. Not sure what I'm going to do now lol
  • Heading to checkout a new gym soon. I've heard wonderful things about their child care, so I'll put LO in their for an hour while I try to burn off some of the junk I ate yesterday.

  • I'm in a wedding today, still deciding on hairstyle via Pinterest while laying next to my sleeping baby who just pooped. It stinks, but I want her to sleep. I'm so torn.

Oh no...the raccoons are real serious around these parts. b-(
This thing is huge and has been ripping into the garbage every night (gets the lid off no problem). I think he should have shot it with the pellet gun instead but maybe the beer bottle was just as effective lol

  • I had to kill a raccoon once because it was rabid and attacking my parents dogs in broad daylight. It's the worse feeling ever killing an animal. It was that or my dogs though so... I chose the dogs.

Usually if you contact your state conservation department, they will loan out live traps so the coon can be moved to an area where he won't be such a nuisance. I don't know if all states have them. You can even ask animal control. We've done this a coupes times in different states for different animals. I wouldn't blame someone for shooting them with a pellet gun but sometimes if you live in such a heavily populated area, that is dangerous to do. :)

CT doesn't have that unfortunately. I used to work with animal rehabilitation several years ago and it is illegal to relocate any high rabies vector animals like raccoons or bats. Last year we had a pest control guy come to the house for squirrels in the attic and he told us the same thing, he is not able to relocate curtains rabies prone animals. It's too bad if the animal is healthy.

I wish I could find a cheap gym with daycare. DH bought a treadmill, so I really need to start using it. Plus I have a free gym and free trainer at work, so really, I have NO excuse not to get in shape.
This gym is $60/month, not including child care. Not sure if that's cheap or not but I really need to find a gym that I like and am comfortable bringing LO to.
That's awesome that your work has a free gym! I'm super jealous!

  • LO got a patch of eczema (I think) on her cheek. She had some on her back but aquaphor cleared it up real quick. Should I call the pedi?
  • I just had a huge super spicy tamale, and I regret EVERYTHING.

  • Seriously Jude, horrible timing. He's being absolutely awful tonight. Screaming his head off, refusing sleep. He couldn't have had worse timing, he didn't sleep well last night, so I'm exhausted, and DH has been up since 3pm yesterday, because he had to work his 7p-7a shift last night, and I had to work 9:30-3 today. I let him nap this afternoon, but he said he only wanted an hour nap, so he could sleep tonight. Little did we both know that Jude wouldn't sleep tonight. Ugh.

  • I'm irrationally sad that I just took down DS's swing.....I feel like that was the last little baby thing he still had now.it's all moving toward toddler toys and I'm sad.

DH said we need to put away her bouncer soon. She hasn't been in it in a week and it's kind of in the way. But I refuse.

Someone please tell me its ok for me to be so frustrated with this whole nap training thing that I want to just leave.... run away... not forever, but just until its fixed. I don't know if I want to scream or cry. It doesn't help that all the crying doesn't seem to phase DH, almost like he has no heart :(

Some parents handle it better than others. Is it an option for you to go for a walk until she falls asleep? (With your DH in the house obviously) I've heard of that happening quite a bit. It's hard. When Kahlan cried, I cried. And rocked and drank.

Yeah he still plays in his jumperoo and would still swing if he was small enough for it to swing. It's just so sad...I was living in disbelief that he's over 6 months until then.

It is totally okay! Is she at least getting better about how long it takes?

So I ran out to get Dunkin and DH stayed home with the lo's. When I came back DH told me he was sitting on the couch with DD and DS and they were both playing with the iPad. He got up to grab the remote, changed the channel and when he turned around DD was laying on the ground, happy as could be.

He didn't hear anything and he was only standing 3 feet away. He thinks DS picked her up and put her on the ground because she was on the inside of the couch so she would have had to roll over DS to fall off the couch. OMG is all I have to say!

Nope.. Getting worse. I'm putting my foot down and stopping CIO. After 30 min just now I went in and LO is covered in puke. Nope. No more!! Heartless DH can get over it!!
Yeah it sounds like CIO is not for you :( I'm sorry! Check out the sleep lady shuffle. I haven't tried it but I've heard good things.
  • @mcncheese‌ I'm sorry you are having trouble. :( I'd be a mess. Poor baby! I hope you can find something that works! Mama and baby both need sleep and peace. I-)
  • @sweett11‌ that sucks! Hope they weren't out there too long and they figured it out

My LO finally went back down so time for me to do the same. (Hopefully). Peace out yo.
  • Good sleepers, no fussing during teething....how'd you get so lucky??? @psalmchapter91
