Just curious about the old wives tale, heartburn means your baby will have a full head of hair. I didn't have heartburn with my son and he had minimal hair and now I started to get it for this pregnancy. Curious how many of you fit the wives tale with your LO.
I had heartburn with both pregnancies. DS had very little hair, DD had a full head of it. Not sure what stomach acid coming back up your throat has to do with the amount of hair your kid has.

ha ha I agree. Just curious if ppl find this true or not.
I deft don't believe in OWT. I don't think there is any science behind how much hair your child has in your uterus and forcing stomach acid up your esophagus.
I have never had heartburn in my life. Still didn't have it while pregnant. I was expecting DS to be born bald (not bc of the OWT, but due to the genetics on my side of the family). He was born with a full head of hair. It wasn't very thick but he had quite a bit.
There was actually a study done on this which showed a fairly strong correlation (80%). The study authors were pretty surprised, as they just thought it was an old wives' tale. I had heartburn, and LO had hair.
I had incredibly bad heartburn with all my kids even when I took medication for it. It was horrible and nothing worked to ease it, except giving birth.
None of my kids had hair when they were born.
My younger son hardly had hair until he was two and my daughter is just 1 now but still pretty bald.

I have read this too. I had bad heartburn with both pregnancies and both of my girls had a lot of hair, so it was true for me.
I had awful heartburn...And I was popping Tums like skittles. DS has a lot of hair. You couldn't see the scalp, it reach his back, and he keeps getting mistaken for a girl.
I had heartburn and DS was born with a full head of hair. My u/s tech told me that there was some science that supported this OWT, but they didn't know why.
With my first dd I had heartburn from about 5 months on, se came out with a head full of thivk dark hair. With DD2, almost no heartburn and much lighter and much less hair. SO it was true for me
I had heart burn once after a taco bell binge.... Lol... and the first thing the Dr said when ds crowned was "LOOK AT THAT HEAD OF HAIR!" my so literally jumped over me to look....
Supermom to my beautiful boys Troy Marshall and Griffin Xander
I had terrible heartburn with my first and he had TONS of hair. I had heartburn with this lo but not as much. She has a lot of hair as well but not nearly as much as my first.
Although I don't believe the OWT. I had heartburn with DS #1 and DS #2. DS #1 had fuzz and DS #2 had a full set of black hair. My heartburn was worse with DS #2 but I don't think the heartburn had anything to do with it.
I had crippling heartburn with both, enough that it hurt to even breathe and no heartburn remedy could even make a dent - both my girls were born with a full head of long, thick hair. DD1s was black and got a bit lighter over time, DD2s is mid-brown and hasn't had much chance to change yet but seems to have grown a teeny bit (she's a month old)
I had terrible heartburn and DD has a TON of hair. I remember reading somewhere that there is some truth to the OWT because the hormone that causes hair growth in the fetus also causes heartburn.

I had awful heartburn at the end but I had a 10# 14oz 22" kid that I think had more to do with it. He did have hair though not just on his head he was a wolf boy.
