Friday fitness fanatics

Good morning ladies! Cardio day for me today. Wanted something fun, trainer told me to do tabata or HIIT intervals on my off days, so I found this https://youtu.be/Jf0nEpG8tno It was fun. It got me sweaty, out of breath, and my legs burning, so I think it did it's job. And looking at her body is good motivation. I wonder how many squats I need to do to get an ass like that? Hopefully my neighbors weren't watching through the window, because I am pretty sure I did not look at all cool while doing this.

  • drinking coffee before my run. We're headed out early for the in-laws today, so I'll probably only get 3 or 3.5 miles in before I have to pack up the girls and our mountains of snacks. 
  • @spooko, the fact that you do it at all makes you a fitness fanatic! Do you realize how many people quit exercising weeks after they start???

    @Soxgirl07‌ , I vote both, it makes you a fun mom, but it will also set a precedent of indoor soccer. Hmmmmm...

  • I am determined to take every opportunity this long weekend to work out. I am not off to a great start by skipping my quick morning yoga. Maybe I'll get off my ass and do it now that I've admitted I suck lol

    I really just want to shrink my c/s shelf as much as possible and stop looking is-she-isn't-she-pregnant in certain dresses.

  • No workout yet, but it will be done! I have w4d2 of C25K on the agenda today. I think I'll also do my NYC Ballet DVD.

  • Vacation has officially started today and we leave for FL on Monday. I'm afraid the gym won't be seeing me for the next 2 weeks :( And I will be eating all the things. RIP hot dream bod

  • Went for a run yesterday and started the 30 day challenge. I had planned on going this morning but my shin really hurt yesterday.
  • We are heading back from the beach today and I'm hoping to get a run in later but with Hurricane Arthur around, who knows of that'll happen.

  • 3.2 miles complete! I love Strava and their little medal system: I got my 2nd best 5k time since the baby!

    I haven't worked out since last week. I'm dying to but between the boys and the baby and trying to find time to pump I can't seem to fit it in. It's starting to annoy me. I'm also nervous about losing weight and it hurting my milk supply. I'm fucking starving all the time!! MFP gives me an extra 300 calories for BF. Does that seem like enough?

    @Rainovertx‌ I just downloaded Strava bc I need a new running app!

  • I find Strava very motivating!

    With my first, I was running tons, eating like a horse and got pretty skinny and I still made plenty of milk. So, anecdote, but I wouldn't worry. And if you feel like you start under producing, it's likely not irreversible. Just up your calories!
  • MFP always gave me 500 extra BFing calories. I know I always dipped my pumping output when I dieted a little too hard.

    I really don't think 300 is enough. I'm pretty sure you burn an extra 500-800 a day BFing.

  • Did a 30 min pump class at lunch. But then came back to my desk and ate a slice a cake and a million nibs, so I probably cancelled out all my hard work. Going to eat popcorn at the movies with my sister tonight, so I will have to plan to be active this weekend!

  • We took the kids on an 8 mile bike ride today, but I made Dh pull the trailer. Then we had hate chicken for lunch... Vacation isn't starting off on the right foot where food is concerned!!

  • I really wanted to run today, but DS actually slept in (FWP) and then it got hot. Now DW has a bunch of errands to do.

    I'm debating if I should try to take it easy on the food and drink and run this evening after it cools off. We're still debating if it's worth trying to have our 2 year old stay up late enough to watch fireworks.

  • Did a the Core Reformer workout last night, and did 60 squats this morning. It's so nice here now that H and I are planning to take DD for a long walk when she gets up from her nap. If not, I will try the core reformer stuff again tonight.

  • @spooko it's a really cool circuit training app. You pick whether you want to do cardio, yoga, stretching, or strength training (lower body, upper body, total body, or core) and how long you want to workout. Then it gives you an assortment of exercises to do for 30 seconds at a time. You should try it out. There's a free version but the 'pro' versionn is only $1.99 I think.

  • I just survived my aunts picnic relatively unscathed. 1 Guinness, some pulled pork (no bun), the salad I brought, and a big piece of "eclair cake " she makes, which is basically cool whip. I skipped all if the potato and pasta salads, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cheese. Pretty proud of myself. We have a lot of parties this weekend, so I need to pace myself, lol

  • Wow @BluepointToasted‌ Good for you for not gorging! I have zero self control when it comes to BBQ.

    @Spooko‌ I just do a bunch of stretches when I'm feeling antsy, but don't have time/the inclination to do a full work out.I call it happy legs when your body feels like running a marathon, but your mind is too tired IYKWIM.
