What am I supposed to do with this???

I walked in to get E and I found this!! FTM here, but wouldn't bumpers be better than this nonsense? She could have cared less. Ps the burp cloth doesn't stay in there. I had it in my hand to give to her, and found this......

  • Wow that's impressive! I would only put the mesh bumpers on if she made a habit of it and started hurting herself or waking up at night because of flailing and getting stuck. I wouldn't want to waste the money or deal with the aggravation of taking it on and off the change the sheets.

  • I got the mesh bumpers for this reason.  My girls kept getting their fat thighs stuck between the bars.  I thought they'd learn not to after awhile but they didn't so I got the mesh bumpers.

I leave mine on for sheet changes. The mattress slides by fine.

  • Mesh bumpers! We leave them on all the time the mattress just slide right by it no problem. DS stuck his arm through 1 time and we have had no problems since.

Really?! Damn, I had one for DS1 and hated it because I had to take it off to change the sheets!
  • I don't think I'd bother with bumpers just bc she did it once. That is impressive though! My LO sticks her legs out (on purpose I think) but she gets them back in by herself. She already stands on her piano playmat in her PnP. I'd be worried she'd use bumpers to climb.

  • We use mesh bumpers. She would get her chubby thighs stuck while sitting, and bang her head into the rails. As PP said they can use the mesh bumpers as a boost to climb out. So if you have a stander. You may not be able to use them for that long. D can stand up, but has yet to stand on the bumpers.
