I'm 29 weeks & baby is the size of an acorn squash. I'm getting to that uncomfortable phase for sure...he feels so heavy! Just glad he's growing and healthy. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes last week so that's been upsetting, but I've been working on a better diet and getting a little exercise while I wait for my appointment with the diabetics educator. I'm really looking forward to my baby shower in a couple weeks! No big plans for the holiday. I was going to go to a family picnic with my husband, but now he has to work and I'd rather avoid tempting food situations at the time being. I hear there will be lemon bars...probably best to stay home! haha
1) How many weeks are you/ how big is baby? 30 weeks, cucumber
2) How are you feeling? Feeling okay. Exhausted, but not as bad as I could for being 10 weeks or less away from baby's arrival.
3) Any news/ upcoming appointments/ milestones? My home birth plans are off the table because of financial reasons. I ditched my OB and am seeing a new more "natural" birth minded OB on Monday. As an extra bonus, she is closer to my house. Found out yesterday that I passed my 3-hour GD test. Yay!
4) Any fun plans for the Fourth? It is supposed to be 101 here today so I will be swimming in our pool, grilling, then heading to the park to watch the fireworks this evening with my husband and daughter.
2) Starting to feel huge, hard to get out of chairs and reach my feet and stuff. Peeing ALL the freakin' time which made our 4+ hour drive fun.
3) I had the 1-hour glucose test Wednesday morning, they said they would get the results yesterday. I haven't heard anything so that should mean I'm in the clear. Next visit is in 3 weeks.
4) I'm helping/"helping" on a fireworks show near Norfolk VA. It rained last night but fortunately Hurricane Arthur didn't really hit here. It turned into a nice day & it's a small show so there's plenty of time to hang out.
Happy Friday and happy 4th to the American mommies!! 1) How many weeks are you/ how big is baby? 28 weeks... In the home stretch 2) How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good, had a small bout with gallbladder pains Today I can't wait until that is over! 3) Any news/ upcoming appointments/ milestones? I was lucky enough to fail the 1 hour glucose test so I have the 3 hour test coming up, next appointment is 7/15 then we are on to every 2 weeks! 4) Any fun plans for the Fourth? We had all intense and purposes of going to see fireworks but if you've had gallstones then you know that wasn't gonna happen, so we just hung around home. I did get to watch fireworks from our couch which in the SW FL Heat it was probably the better idea.
