So I breastfed my first two but now that I am pregnant with Twins I would love some honest advice. Realistically I can't pump once I go back to work so I only generally breastfeed for 3 months- something I really loved. However when the twins are born I will have a 13 month old and a 28 month old at home. Although I will have some help- I really will be the primary care for the first three months. Is attempting to breastfeed even possible? I feel like it will be so time consuming I won't have time to do anything else with my kids. I would love any thoughts from you ladies.
Re: Breastfeeding twins
Mine are 7 wks and have been 100% BF. But my 3 yo is still going to daycare and DH has been doing a ton re household tasks and entertaining our son.
It sounds like you'll need help, esp for your older children.
I can't compare bottle feeding and the effort involved (we've only done it when I'm at work). BF is totally doable (though harder with 2 at the beginning). Bottle feeding sounds like more work to me (but is easier to get help with).
Good luck!
