mop/broom recommendation

Hi mom, 

Happy 4th to you all! I am on a cleaning frenzy today and I am looking to get rid of my mop and broom since we live in a place that is mostly carpet and pretty much its a PITA to mop the three areas that need to be mopped. I am looking at the swiffer sweepervac. It does what I need it to do mop/sweep one area super fast. Plus with vinny ALL OVER now it's great to clean the kitchen floor super fast at night when he's in bed. I have burnt through so many mops and its a pain to drag out the bucket, mop and lug it from room to room dripping water on the carpet, etc. Yes, it sounds lazy and that I am! 
Does anyone have any other suggestions or is this even worth the $40?

    When we lived in out apartment, I only had two rooms without carpet that had to be mopped and swept. I found it much easier to vacuum with my shark vacuum instead of sweep, then I used a swifter wet jet. Worked perfectly!
    do you have the "fancy" shark?? Like an actual vacuum cleaner that you use for the carpets too??
