Morning sickness... Again?

So for the past few days, I have had diarrhea and nausea (dry heaving) every morning, food of any kind is unappealing. Sometimes I feel hot and cold but have no fever. It's terrible and it limits my ability to properly care for my baby. It being 4th of July weekend, there's no calling a doctor, so I was wondering if anyone else is/has dealt with this postpartum, I am almost 6 weeks out btw. By the end of the day I feel pretty good again and I usually get at leat one good meal in. I am trying to dry out, but my boobs feel soft and I don't think it's mastitis. Maybe it's completely unrelated to pregnancy, but I feel like it is somehow.

  • Could be sleep dep. I feel hungover and sick if I get too exhausted. How much sleep are you getting?

  • I definitely am not getting enough sleep, so that may be it I guess. I have also been having a hard time eating, and of course the whole thing has become cyclical- not eating leading to not wanting to eat leading to not eating even more.

My husband had the "some splainin to do" response.... Trust me sex has never been further from my thoughts than right now!

  • I don't remember if it was Kellymom or where but I did read that nausea is not unusual while breast feeding, and it is from the hormones. Similar to pregnancy. Since you mention diarrhea, though, it may be something else. Sounds like a stomach bug or something is not agreeing with you.

I'm just playing with you :)

My friend's cousin had her baby in April, became pregnant just after I had DS in early May. No lie.

    That sounds like a travesty.
  • With the diarrhea, maybe stomach bug as someone mentioned?
