spoke too soon

Just a couple hours ago I was saying how my kids had actually sttn for a couple days?

I'm cursed. Wtf happened to the baby who slept 12+ hours straight? And who exchanged this monster who doesn't need any sleep! I'm so flipping exhausted I have been crying for almost an hour. It's like this demon's internal radar goes off the very second I FINALLY drop off from insomnia, and I wake up again. Know how many hours of sleep I got yesterday? 3. From 6am until 9.

It's 3:30 and devil cold is still going strong and I can't get dh to wake up.

Re: spoke too soon

  • That sounds really crappy, I'm so sorry. Why won't DH wake his ass up and help?

I don't know! :( I've elaborated a little in the Help thread, but it's almost like he physically CANNOT wake up. Like maybe there is something medically wrong. He's always been a heavy sleeper, but it's worse than ever. Like I wake him up, and he looks at me, but he isn't awake. In the morning, he has no idea that I was trying to get him up at all.

  • I posted in your other thread, but if your DH doesn't even remember any of this happening, that's a little scary. What if there was a fire or something and he really did have to get up? My DH can be like that too. He doesn't remember stuff that he said or that I said to him even though it appears that he's awake. But I never had a problem getting him up to help with DD at night, and usually once he's actually out of bed doing something he's fine. It might be worth looking into a possible medical issue. That would annoy the crap out of me. I'd probably start hitting him with pillows or something, haha.

  • I have literally kicked my H out of bed before. Like, both feet and hands and shoved until he fell right out of it. If I were you...

  • I've thought about this but he just had a physical and he is as healthy as a house. I think maybe he needs to make another apt to discuss this particular issue rather than just his overall health. I'm just not sure how to approach it with him. He snores terribly, and it's just gotten worse in the last two years. I can't help but wonder if the snoring and the extremely deep sleep aren't related.
