Fireworks and Arthur

Anybody have a good handle on the forecast in Southeastern Massachusetts? A bunch of towns postponed fireworks tonight so I figured we'd just have to wait. There's 1 town that claims the forecast has improved and they're going ahead with it. I've been reading conflicting reports online all day.
Do I risk taking DS1 out tonight?? WWPD?

Re: Fireworks and Arthur

  • We're southeast of Boston and just got issued a tropical storm warning. I haven't canceled any plans we have yet, but I'm also not holding my breath that they're going to happen.

  • I know they're holding fireworks. They announced on their site that the forecast has improved and that they were going ahead. But they acknowledged there might be rain or even thunderstorms. I'm just trying to decide whether or not to risk getting stuck in bad weather with the kiddo. I think I've decided to go. We'll just leave at the first sign of a problem. Hopefully we don't have to park too far away! It's gorgeous out right now, maybe that'll last a few hours.
  • We went. It was good. I thought the storm was starting because I could see lightening a couple times on the ride home. At least once it turned it to actually be fireworks from the Brockton fair. It was raining on our way in the house, but nothing awful. Very glad we went!
