Diarrhea in a 4 week old?

I'm probably just being an overly concerned FTM but I'm a little worried my little one has the runs. She is EBF and yesterday and today her poops have seemed a little more runny than usual. They also seem a little mucusy. She's gassy and seems to poop a little every time she passes gas. She seems ok otherwise, no fever so far and is eating normally. Should I call the on call doc to be safe or am I just being silly and should just keep an eye on her? Also we just started her on Zantac Tuesday so I don't know if that could affect her poops a little while her system adjusts? They just use to be textbook mustard yellow, seedy consistency so the change when nothing for her has really changed is a little concerning to me.

I would call if you feel concerned. I have already called the advice line like 10 times! As a FTM I never know what is "normal"...only you can tell if there is significant change. GL.

Call if you are concerned but my EBF baby has pretty much only had liquid poo.

My baby's are pretty liquidy also. Only difference since he started Zantac is his poops are sometimes bright green seedy, but his doctor warned me about this when he started.

EBF baby poop can change in consistency pretty frequently from really liquidy to more solid. As long as it's still has that yellow, seedy look I wouldn't be concerned. But absolutely call if you're worried. That's what your doctor is there for!
