Hi everyone! A little back story on me. DD1 was "almost" EBF for 6 months. When I returned to work after 12 weeks, I couldn't pump as much as my DD1 was eating. My supply slowly dwindled and by 6 months, I was only pumping .5 oz per session and just EBFing at home. Then she got pnuemonia and refused to nurse so I threw in the towel.
This time around, I was determined to not let that happen. I chugged water, drank mothers milk tea, took tincture form of Mother's Milk Plus, you name it. I ended up with an oversupply and have a nice freezer stash (yay!). Also, DD2 is nursing like a champ and loving it!
I just returned to work now that DD2 is 12 weeks. Here is my problem. My MIL watches the girls on Mondays and Tuesdays. I am pumping more than what she needs (three 3 oz bottles). But she goes to a daycare Wednesday-Friday and the DCP has been giving her three 5 oz bottles and I'm coming short 4 oz a day. Do you think the DCP is over feeding her? Is that even possible? What could be going on?
I told the DCP that my MIL is feeding her only 3 oz max and DD2 seems content. The DCP insists that DD2 is still hungry and not satisfied unless she gets 5 oz.
If this is the case, what can I do to up my supply to fit the needs of DD2 Wednesday-Friday? Currently I've started Mother Milk Plus again and lots of water. I just ordered more Mothers milk tea. Oh and I'm pumping every three hours.
