NBR What are your plans for the 4th?

We don't have any plans yet, could go to parents or in laws but both would include a long drive and the storm might just make everything a wash. We may stay home.

Family are coming over here but I plan to stay inside with Aamie and the dog both of which have not delt with fireworks.

Probably going to the beach. It's across the street from our place and my parents always set up a big tent so there will be plenty of shade

Eta: dd1 will stay with the grandparents all day. We will probably only take LO for a couple of hours

I'm trying to convince DH to drop the two older kids off with the in-laws so we can hit up some garage sales with the baby.

Or we will go to a local county fair. We'll probably watch fireworks at home as the neighbors put on a pretty good show. There are like 6 houses that "compete" with each other which makes it pretty funny too.

Lol @KrystaJ‌!! I dealt with that yesterday, I swear I should just moo when they're around BC all I'm good for their grandson is milk.
@krptcmschfmkr128‌ I'm sure they will be ok, has it already started storming by you?
@owlcup‌ we are gonna have the ILs take the girls for the weekend too after the 4th it will be a nice change to just be me and the hubbs and baby boy! What state do you live in, in NY fireworks are illegal, we live super close to Coney Island though so we can see the show from our window.
@lalala8‌ that sounds like a lot of fun the LOs get kites and you get wine, sounds like a win-win to me

Right?! She says her wedding colors are red white and blue so she doesn't want guests wearing the colors. So strange.

Yup we're bringing them and ergo-ing 'em up!

They're wearing red white and blue dresses and if the bride doesn't like it she can suck it!

@astalyons‌ that is what I am trying to avoid at the in laws! Watching everyone swim and then getting eaten up by mosquitos

at least you guys have good weather for being outside.

We are doing nothing. I hate the 4th of July, I always have bad luck the with the 4th (spent the night in jail back when I was 19 on the 4th) so I like to avoid the day

. We did buy some huge steaks that we will grill up but other than that we aren't doing anything.

Normally we throw a big beach party bbq, but didn't this year for obvious reasons.

Apparantly we are getting this storm so Boston & my town all rearranged the festivities and it kind of killed our plans. DH and I are going to bunker down with the babes and steam a few lobsters.

We aren't doing much, just going over to the ILs. DH can swim (and I might dangle my legs in the water) and we'll probably grill up some hamburgers or something... Although is need to make sure DH cooked ours, his dad has a tenancy to cook them to charcoal. Lol.

My parents are having a BBQ at the time share they are staying at while visiting. The ILs and some of my family will also be there. There is going to be a lot of baby passing and annoyance when he wants me for eating. I'm not exactly looking forward to it.

Heading to the pool- I was cleared to swim at 2 weeks pp (after a c section)!! It's going to be HOT here, so will probably get a little sun and BBQing in and then try to get the kiddos to nap so DH and I can have some quiet time to ourselves. I'm thinking long car ride... I know, not very exciting!!

Just hanging out at home. My mom might come over later to BBQ for us because I'm still entirely too lazy to cook very much, lol. I hope we can also take LO out for her first neighborhood walk in the stroller.

Nothing too exciting. We went for a long walk this AM bc the weather is unseasonably nice today, it was nice to get some sun! And My husband just ran out to get some stuff to grill hamburgers for dinner tonight. Maybe I'll have a beer on the porch tonight! Also, I've put LO in every red, white & blue outfit he owns just to take his pic.

@MrsBHM I am having the exact same day as you: no plans to leave the house... grilling and beer(s) this evening.... and even though no one will see them, I still dressed my kiddos in red, white, and blue outfits because, 'Merica!

Just as I predicted, my future MIL was trying to talk my 2 week old out of the feeding cues he was giving. Seriously? You want him to be hungry just so you don't have to give up holding him?

Mine did this in the hospital at two days. This momma bear was pissed! I don't get it... How can you be that selfish that you want your grand baby screaming because they are hungry and upset???

My mom was the exact opposite, Murphy would open his mouth and she would demand that I feed him, even if I had just finished feeding him. And then would get mad when I said that he was fine.
