@Birch113 AC fixed yet?  Hope you get some relief from the 1st tri symptoms soon!
@MrsTuna08 Are you going to visit your new niece this week?  How was your check yesterday?
@Keberly91 Hope you find something that works for the headaches.
@larahouseman How was yesterday's U/S?  Are you planning on staying team green?
@haleyusf Are you reconnected to internet yet?  How was the move?
@megbmeg Did you find out boy/girl last week??
@luciddreamer106 Glad you were able to get a 2nd US, still feeling good this week?
@SamanthaLaura16 I love the days when I have lots of energy and can actually clean up or exercise!  I'm not as tired as I was in 1st tri but that kind of energy is still rare for me these days.
@Bonnesetter27 How did your appointments go?  I also have Mayflower descendants, my grandmother did a good job at documenting all of that, it's kinda neat!
@stefani103 Stripping wallpaper is such a PITA, lucky you for having pregnancy as a get out of jail free card!  I cried at my first OB appointment before I even had the US because I was so worried/stressed.
@meagpt22 Congrats on getting a good deal on a crib!  We have ours in the box and also need to clear out the room to set it up soon.
mayathebeee Welcome and congrats!  What's your due date so that I can update our list?
@slensic What's a winter melon?  I've never heard of that, lol.  The 9th, that's a week away!  Wow, how are you feeling?  Ready for baby to be here or trying to get last minute stuff done?

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?  22 weeks, papaya.

How are you feeling?  Pretty good still, just achey and occasional mild heartburn.

Favorite moment of the week?  Over the past week I've noticed that I'm able to see movement through my stomach now most days, which always makes me smile, it's pretty awesome and weird at the same time!

Least favorite moment of the week?  Yesterday, I started to obsess and freak out about toxins in baby products and lost way too many hours of productivity.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?  The same, still pretty minimal luckily minus the ones I mentioned above.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?  Pretty good, although I did have a weird dream last night that was indirectly related to losing the baby and that wasn't great, so I guess the worry is still there even if I don't always realize it.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?  Next appointment is late next week I think.

     ~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
What's your favorite movie and favorite book?  Also, I'm running low on GTKY question ideas so if you have one that you'd like me to use over the next few weeks, feel free to post ideas!  Favorite movie is The Sound of Music, and I think that my favorite book is probably Jane Eyre.

  • @rox825 -- we have internet!!! Move went really well, all things considered. We were blessed to have two friends drive up with us, helping us drive up our extra car and then helped unload the whole truck in less than 6 hours!

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you? 16 weeks; TB says avocado, but that seems smaller than a naval orange? May the bigger avocados?

If you’re far enough along, are you having a boy or girl or are you team green? (This is to update the list, so if you’re already on there no need to answer again!)

How are you feeling? Doing okay; having a hard time staying hydrated enough but still trying.

Favorite moment of the week? After all the craziness of finishing the drive Saturday and unloading the truck, we finally fell into bed around midnight and it was so nice to just lay in bed with SO in our new home.

Least favorite moment of the week? Thursday was a rough day because I just felt worthless. I was having contractions again in the morning so I really had to take it easy. SO and three of our friends were left to finish the packing, load the truck, etc. and I was left to sit and watch.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones? Generally doing better and the BH's have stayed away for the last couple days. Starting to feel the bladder weakness when I cough or sneeze = running to the bathroom frequently.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?  I do well on the days that I don't have BH, but I guess until I see the doc and verify that everything is still okay, I am a little on edge.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to? Appointment on Thursday with my new OB. Not sure what we'll do at this appt with me being a new patient, but I'm hoping for an u/s to check cervical length and I should be starting my 17P shots this week.

     ~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
What's your favorite movie and favorite book?  Hard to pick just one, but for favorite movie, I'd go with Anastasia and for favorite book, "The Great Gatsby".

  • Hi @rox825 and the other Tuesday ladies!  This will be my first check-in on PgAL and I'm just trying to treat this little one with the same excitement as anything else.  This is my fourth pregnancy, however, I haven't had any take home babies yet.  I recently had a septum removal surgery and have been taking progesterone supplements, so I'm hoping that these additions to my plan will help me bring this little March baby home!  My EDD is 3/10/15 as of right now.

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you? 4 weeks today (so early, I know) and I've got a little poppyseed in there!

If you’re far enough along, are you having a boy or girl or are you team green? (This is to update the list, so if you’re already on there no need to answer again!)

How are you feeling? Physically, pretty decent...exhausted and nauseous, but overall pretty good.  Emotionally, nervous and excited at the same time.  I know it's so early, but once you see that "pregnant" word on the digital nothing is the same, right?

Favorite moment of the week? Seeing that "pregnant" word on the digital test and looking at DH and him just smiling from ear to ear.

Least favorite moment of the week? Calling my RE's office and them telling me that it is still early and that betas won't happen until next week.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones? I've felt pretty consistent with the exhaustion and nauseousness.  At night is when the sore boobs really come into play.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? It hasn't gotten into my quite yet, but it's hard to believe it's real still.  I'm just hoping to get in early next week to start the blood work and then hopefully get started with Lovenox soon after.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to? I'm just looking forward to getting some more reassurance from my RE next week.

Favorite movie is Almost Famous and my favorite book is called Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.  Both are such addictive forms of entertainment and you just get some wrapped up in them!  The book, especially, is so great!!!

I belong here! The doctor just told me yesterday that Tuesday is the start of my new week! Thanks for the check in. My EDD is 3/5

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you? 5 weeks, apple seed

How are you feeling? I'm trying to celebrate each moment of good news, but I also feel like I'm waiting for it to be taken away from me again.

Favorite moment of the week? Seeing my little Baby Bear's sac on the u/s screen. We've never had that experience before.

Least favorite moment of the week? Deciding to wait to tell our parents until this weekend. I just want to tell my mommy!

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones? Extremely tired, but other than that I'm hanging in there.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? I'm a mess. This damn roller coaster is driving me mad.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to? Next Monday I have another scan and beta draw.

  • @Rox825 yes I had issues with another check in, never this one though. I just sent you a PM with what should fix it.

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
    38 weeks!!!! pumpkin

    How are you feeling?
pretty good actually, it's just pretty hot here so the swelling has finally started, but I feel pretty lucky that I went swelling free for almost 37 weeks.

    Favorite moment of the week?
Had a wonderful weekend with the family

Least favorite moment of the week?
DH and I had a big fight Friday night, clearly his work schedule (6 days a week, 12 hours a day) my hormones, and the huge impending life change pushed us over the edge. It's fine now but I really hate fighting.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Fine, except for just being huge

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
Still worry about still birth but he is still moving tons so it stays away mostly.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
NST this morning, ob on Thursday and final ob appt. on Monday.

     ~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
What's your favorite movie and favorite book?  Also, I'm running low on GTKY question ideas so if you have one that you'd like me to use over the next few weeks, feel free to post ideas!

  • Thanks for the check in @rox825!  I get to see my niece today!! Yay!  And the appointment went well! Double Yay!  My cervix is still the same length and we got a quick peak at T-Rex who seems to be happy in there.

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
19 weeks, mango ( @haleyusf I'm with you, all of these fruits in this time frame seem to be the same to me?)

    How are you feeling?
Meh, ok, puking is making a comeback, WAT???  Where did you come from????  It's not awful, but I'm back to icky mornings and gagging on my toothbrush.

    Favorite moment of the week?
Finding out my cervix is unchanged.  That was a huge relief.

Least favorite moment of the week?
Our basement is flooding after all of the rain we have had in the Midwest.  I like this rental house, but I'm over all the major problems we've had since moving in.  Fortunately the only areas affected have been the laundry room and a storage area.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
As mentioned above, I'm feeling pukey again after 7-8 puke free weeks - I'm hopeful that it doesn't stick around.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
Holding steady after my appointment yesterday.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
We will get a nice long look at T-Rex in a couple weeks when we have our A/S.

  • How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you? 5 weeks.

If you’re far enough along, are you having a boy or girl or are you team green? (This is to update the list, so if you’re already on there no need to answer again!)

How are you feeling? I'm feeling fine, which makes me start to worry that I don't have "enough" symptoms :/

Favorite moment of the week? I saw my sister's nursery (she's due July 16th) and it's so adorable and organized!

Least favorite moment of the week? Ugh, we have had major storms which knocked out our power, so LO and I had to stay at my parents while MH roughed it at the house.  Still no power and I want to go home today!

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones? I'm tired and have to pee a lot, but that's probably because I'm constantly chugging water.  I've been having cramps off and on but it's hard to tell if it's my ute or gas.  That's about it.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? My loss milestone is on Friday (I think--I'm trying not to focus too much on it) so I just want to make it past that time point.  Even though it doesn't mean anything, it's my goal right now to make it past 6 weeks.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to? My first appt is July 16th (the EDD of my sis/BFF) so I hope it brings me good luck :)

     ~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
What's your favorite movie and favorite book? My favorite movie--this is hard--is The Shawshank Redemption (or Harry Met Sally or Office Space for a comedy).  My favorite book is the Guernsey Sweet Potato Pie Society.
  • Hello lovelies! How fun to have a bunch of new Tuesday-ers! Welcome :)

@rox825 I did not find out baby's sex yet. Boo! Actually, I feel kind I dumb about it bc I assumed it was having an u/s bc the nurse told me to be sure to drink 20 oz of water before. And they'd only said that before u/s in the past. Oh well! Hopefully at the a/s we'll find out.

    How far along?
17 weeks - onion. Hopefully, a nice big onion.

    How are you feeling?
Still much improved. I'm so sorry to hear @MrsTuna08‌ that the vomits have come back. I hope that they disappear again soon bc that is no fun.

    Favorite moment of the week?
Got to hear LO's h/b for the first time! In the past this stubborn little baby hid from the Doppler, so we'd only picked it up by u/s. My sister and nieces also sent a sweet care package with thoughtful goodies for me an baby: a dr suess book revised to be read in utero, a UC Berkeley onesie (go bears!), etc. Made this mama to be

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Having a lot of trouble with headaches. It seems like the nausea had been replaced with headaches every AM.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? I mentioned this to my BMB, so you D14 ladies know it is a rough milestone week for me. It was this time last year that we lost our first baby. I've made lots of plans with friends to stay busy this week and that helps, but I am just haunted by memories of that awful time and I find myself wishing so hard that there was a way I could somehow have all my babies. It makes me feel ungrateful for not being satisfied with these wonderful baby on the way - but I miss those first loves too.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
Just three weeks away from half-baked. That sounds magical!

    ~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
What's your favorite movie and favorite book? One of my favorite movies is Miracle on 34th street. It's charming every time! As for favorite book, I love so many, it is hard to answer. Like PP Pride & Prejudice is definitely on the list, and Lonesome Dove, and so many kids books, especially Matilda.

@mayathebeee‌ and @jcar2‌ and @LiaMadi1‌ congrats! And welcome! We'll keep fx for more good news for you :)

@slensic sounds like you diagnosed the real source of that fight. It is still no fun though. I'm sorry! Does DH always work that schedule? That sounds tough or you both. p.s. You are so right about princess bride!

@uneek1323‌ hooray for the awesome scan! I had to tell my mom right away even though we waited to tell others. I hope sat. comes soon for you :) Sometimes we need our moms!

@haleyusf I'm glad you have an appt so soon. I hope you like your new OB and you get all the reassuring answers you need. Let us know!

@rox825‌ so cool that you are seeing movement. And kind of alien! ;) What started the trip down the toxins rabbit hole? I watched a video last year about toxins in beauty products and it really threw me for a loop.

  • How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?  10 weeks, kumquat or prune

How are you feeling?  Pretty good with some brief moments of freaking out a little.

Favorite moment of the week?  I took out some old clothes and reorganized my closet. It looks so much better.  But, even better is when MH took me back into the ER yesterday and did the abdominal u/s himself! Bonus: he gets to log it as one of his procedures! Baby is still measuring on track with a great HB. Plus, we got to see him/her bouncing all around. It was so awesome!

Least favorite moment of the week?  I wanted to get a bunch of stuff done last Wednesday, but I felt so icky and tired that I was just lazy all day.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?  I've been feeling more tired and nausea comes and goes. One day, I'll be completely fine and the next no so much. My boobs aren't hurting as much in the last few days.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?  I'm ok. My boobs not being as sore made me feel nervous and I was having weird cramps, but I feel better after getting another u/s yesterday.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?  Next appointment is my NT screen on 7/14.

  • @rox825 Thanks for the check-in! That’s so awesome that you’re starting to see movement from the outside!

@haleyusf I’m glad that the move went well and that you unpacked so quickly.  That first night sleeping in your bed feels great.

@liamadi1 Congrats again and welcome to the check-in! I hope that your RE cooperates and can give you some reassurance.

@uneek1323 Welcome to the check-in! Good luck with the beta and u/s next week! I have my FX for you.

@slensic Good luck with the NST and your upcoming appointments.

@mrstuna08 Sorry that the puking has come back. But, that’s great news about your cervical length!

@jcar2 Congrats and welcome! Just remember that every pregnancy is different. Back pain with your last pregnancy and again with this one does not mean that this one will end the same way.

@birch113 Congrats on the baby purchase! That’s a big step.

@mayathebeee I hope that the storms go through and everything is ok. Approaching the loss milestone is tough.

@megbmeg Yay for hearing the HB! So exciting! That’s really sweet of your family to send you a care package.

  • @rox825  Thanks for running the check-in.  U/s yesterday was perfect!  Blob's heart was beating away.  We were only in there for like 5 minutes because it wasn't a real appointment.  My dr. was basically just humoring my PgAL brain.  Still, every time I see that heartbeat is magical.

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
    10 weeks.  Prune.

If you’re far enough along, are you having a boy or girl or are you team green? (This is to update the list, so if you’re already on there no need to answer again!)
So I think the plan is for MH and I to find out but not tell anyone until the Blob is born.  Idk if that qualifies me for Team Green, or just secretive...

    How are you feeling?
Just tired.  Queasy sometimes but not too terrible.  Really it's mostly just tired.

    Favorite moment of the week?
Seeing that heartbeat on the screen yesterday.  Just unbeatable.

Least favorite moment of the week?
Squabbling with MH in the 2 hour(!!) wait to see the Dr. yesterday.  He really doesn't understand my PgAL brain at all and so finds it kind of irrational and irritating when I get worked up.  It's kind of weird actually because usually he is the most supportive and understanding guy in the world.  I sort of wonder if his determination that it's going to be fine and refusal to worry or listen to me worry is his way of dealing with it.  Either way, we are not on the same page and it's a bit problematic.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
    See above re: tired.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
Aside from moments of anxiety, such as right before my u/s, I'm actually doing great.  The consistent seeing of the heartbeat combined with feeling SO pregnant has left me pretty confident.  Once I'm out of the 1st tri I think I'll be 100%

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
My next appointment isn't for 3 weeks!  This'll be the longest I've gone without checking on the Blob.  I'm sure it'll be fine but it's definitely not my favorite.

     ~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~*
What's your favorite movie and favorite book?  Also, I'm running low on GTKY question ideas so if you have one that you'd like me to use over the next few weeks, feel free to post ideas!
Favorite movie: Going to have to agree on Princess Bride
    Favorite book: Wuthering Heights

@birch113 hooray for a/c! And congrats on the zulilly purchase. That's so fun! @mayathebeee‌ and @jcar2‌ and @LiaMadi1‌ congrats! And welcome! We'll keep fx for more good news for you :)@slensic sounds like you diagnosed the real source of that fight.
Thanks @megbeg, no he doesn't always work that schedule. He only works this crazy of a schedule May-July, of course DD and now this LO are both born during that period, whoops! We both work in theater and actually I have a fairly busy period March-beginning of May. We generally do ok but it has gotten harder since DD was born because it's just me so much of the time and throw in pregnancy and it pushed us over the edge. It's also the hardest it's ever been for DD too, I think just because she is older and because I am not that much fun do to being giant and uncomfortable and she is missing her daddy this summer in a way that wasn't that big of a deal the last few summers.

  • How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?

    11 weeks - Lime

     How are you feeling?

Not great. I feel like the nausea has gotten worse the last few days. I am really hoping to have some energy to get out and about for the long weekend.

     Favorite moment of the week?

Having my husband home for a few days. Since fishing has started I only get him home 36 hours at a time if that and he’s been home since Friday afternoon. He’s leaving today for a few weeks though L

Least favorite moment of the week?

Just continuing to be worthless. I can’t really do anything after work or make any sort of plans because I have to be in bed by 8 because my stomach feels horrible.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?

Same symptoms but the nausea at night is getting worse and continues into the morning making it really hard to get up and ready for work. I have to pee more now thanks to expanding of my uterus. I wake up at least 3 times a night.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?

I am starting to get anxious about my 12 week appointment next Friday. It is definitely my biggest milestone to pass and I am dreading it but ready to be past it at the same time. Last time around we found out the baby was gone at our 12 week checkup. I just need to hear that heart beat and I will start to feel better.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?

My 12 weeks appointment next week.

What's your favorite movie and favorite book?

This is a hard one for me because I feel like there are so many. I really liked the book The Lovely Bones and I would say one of my favorite movies is empire records.

    31 weeks

How are you feeling? Good. We put on the a/c so sleeping is tolerable.

Favorite moment of the week? Our neighbors said they were so happy we moved into the neighborhood and were considering staying longer so our kids could play together.

Least favorite moment of the week? My fasting numbers (I have GD) are still high even though we increased my insulin. My head knows it isn't my fault but it still feels like I am failing at this.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones? I don't really have any symptoms right now.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests? I continue to worry about what my high numbers are doing to lo.

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to? I have weekly NST's and an u/s next Tuesday. That is the day we find out if my placenta has moved out of the way.

Hey guys, sorry I had to post & run earlier, I got busy at work!

LiaMadi1uneek1323jcar2mayaruthie (were you Mayathebee last week?) Congrats and welcome to Tuesday!!  Always happy to see new faces on the check-in :-)

haleyusf Glad the move went well!  The fruit comparisons get a little weird in 2nd tri I've noticed, they seemed to get smaller for a few weeks.  Good luck with your appointment!

slensic Sorry about the swelling and the fight with your H.  I'm sure that schedule is tough on everyone!  Will he have some time off when the baby arrives?

MrsTuna08 Congrats on the good appointment and happy cervix news :-)

Birch113 Congrats on the travel system score!  I'm a little obsessed with our stroller and was excited to get a good deal.

megbmeg I'm sorry that this is a tough week for you, being sad about a loss and wishing for that baby too doesn't mean that you aren't grateful for this one.  Sending hugs.  Re- the toxins, I can't even remember, I'm sure that I read something.  It might've been about crib mattresses?  I wasted the entire day just to come to the conclusion that they're in everything and unless I want to spend $300 on a fancy european pack n play or $200 on an eco bouncer, there's not a whole lot I can do.  Sigh.

luciddreamer106 That's great that your H got to do another US yesterday!  And congrats on reorganizing the closet, I love purging stuff and organizing.

larahouseman Great news re- the US!  My dr let me do bi-weekly appointments and US's/Doppler checks to appease me, some OBs are so awesome when it comes to calming the PGAL nerves, glad yours is one!  My H didn't understand my anxiety either.

SamanthaLaura16 Sorry that your H has to work for such long stretches, that must be tough on you.  Hope the next week flies by and you get some reassurance at your next appointment.

meagpt22 Congrats on V-Day!!!  And I love all of the movement too, but it totally freaked me out the first time that I actually saw it.  Now it's kind of funny, earlier today during a meeting I had my arms crossed across my belly and the baby kicked my arm which made me jump a little, lol.

Bonnesetter27 Sorry that you're having issues with your numbers, but you're right, it's not your fault.  I hope that you can get them back down.

He is going to take a few days but he will have basically almost a full month off starting July 25th so we are going to tough it out so we don't lose very much overtime income. My parents live in the same town as us and his mom will be coming to town on July 15th to help so we should be ok.

Sorry I'm late! I'll fill it out now, if that's ok. :)

How far along are you? What fruit/veggie are you?
    10 wks +2 now - prune...

    How are you feeling?
Feeling about the same. Still getting a scheduled headache around 6 PM. I think it hits right around the time I start getting sleepy. Learned to just chill out at this time and place my cold rice pack on my neck and shoulders. Seems to be doing the trick!

    Favorite moment of the week?
eh... it's been pretty uneventful. Watched one of my favorite movies, Little Miss Sunshine, with DH over the weekend. He'd never seen it before and he also loved it! Nice to spend some time with him.

Least favorite moment of the week?
Got into a pretty intense fight last night with DH. He got mad at our siamese cat for stepping on our power strip and turning the tv off. I told him that a toddler was going to cause much more mayhem and he'd better be prepared. He took this as me saying he was going to be a bad father... sigh.

How are your symptoms? Getting better? Worse? Any new ones?
Symptoms are probably worse. I have a little more of an appetite, but the boob soreness and fatigue are crazy bad this week. A new one, insomnia, has popped up. Hate this one with a passion.

How is PGAL brain treating you? Any T&P requests?
The return of my symptoms has definitely put it at ease. They suck, though. T&Ps for a good ultrasound and appt next week, please!

Any upcoming appointments or milestones you're looking forward to?
I have my first appointment with my new doctor next Wednesday, July 9th. I will have an ultrasound and then regular check-up, I assume. Not sure about any tests/bloodwork that will be done.

~*~*~*GTKY questions:~*~*~* What's your favorite movie and favorite book?
I have so many favorite movies. But, I guess my all-time favorite feel good movie is Driving Lessons. It stars Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) whom I once had a huge crush on. And, the soundtrack is done by my favorite artist - Sufjan Stevens. Plus, it's just a cute movie. Win, win, win.
Favorite book? Meh, I don't read much anymore. But, Where the Red Fern Grows was my childhood favorite. Wouldn't dare read it while preggers, though -- too sad!

  • @megbmeg -- I think it's good news; I felt like he was listening to my concerns, so there was at least that. It seemed more like he didn't really agree with my former OB and was trying to make that clear without outright saying it. He's going to try and get authorization from my insurance for the shots but just doesn't think I'll get approval for it. He seemed confident that if we see dilation early on, that it can be managed with procardia. He also mentioned that these days, they don't stop labor after 34 weeks, so I guess times have changed since I had DS.
