Vitamins for LO?

What kind of vitamins do you give your toddler? I was looking at chewables at Target the other day, but the Fintstones and similar all had artificial colors. I found one gummy vitamin that had natural flavors and colors, but I just don't think R is ready for gummies yet. I am still nursing 2-3 times a day, but I want to make sure little man gets everything he needs. What are you ladies doing?

We're doing those nasty ass Enfamil Poly vi sol vitamins that come in the drop form. I feel so sorry for B when I have to give them to him because they stink so i'm looking for alternatives too.  I tried to put it in his milk but he can tell and I end up wasting breast milk so I wouldn't suggest that.

  • We do the nasty Poly Vi with Iron too, since her iron is low. But for some damn reason, she likes them. :-&

  • As long as I'm breastfeeding and offering healthy food, I'm not going to introduce vitamins. Breastmilk makes up for most nutrients that might be lacking in a given day, and some sunlight every day helps with the vitamin d. I do plan on having dd's iron levels checked at 15 months, and if there's an issue I'll work on incorporating more iron rich foods. My pedi said not to worry about vitamins while bfing.
