Lost our RE

I really liked our RE even though we have had some delays In between IUI's. Well the last IUI we tried was about a year ago. We then had to go back to a Urologist and DH ended up having to have surgery again. Well that has put us out of the RE's office for several months. Apparently, we still owed $45 for our last IUI cycle. I would have gladly paid it had we been back in the office, but as I said before we have not. Anyway, since that bill went to collections, the office will no longer see me as a patient.

I am so upset, and feeling very discouraged. I was calling to make an appointment as DH had just made his appointment for the SA following his surgery. And that appointment is a month later than I was thinking it would be. I feel like the world is conspiring against me to have another child. Sorry for the long rant, just feeling very defeated right now.

DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

TTC #2 since 6/2010
10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    Wtf? Did they send you a bill? Did you just not realize you owed a balance? I would call them try to explain, this is crazy. I owe my clinic like $700 and pay them whenever the eff I feel like it. LOL I haven't made a payment since like April, but I will pay them, just whenever I feel like it  >:P

    That's f-ed up. I would try calling and talking to either the financial manager (if they have one) or the office manager. It can't hurt to try! Good luck

    My History:
    Lots of BFN's & failed IUI's w/clomid and/or femara
    Finally BFP with femara & t.i.- son born 6/17/2010
    Started TTC again around when DS was 3ish
    Lots of BFN's with femara & t.i & ovidrel
    Tubes clear, S.A came back low motility but high count
    About to switch to injectables w/femara, did one last cycle with just femara & an IUI with ovidrel- stupid motility was fantastic in the sample, but count was 700,000 AFTER wash! Had to sign a paper to even still do IUI- BFFP (big fat freaking positive) Go figure!
    1st Beta 13dpiui 54, 2nd beta 48 hours later 115, 3rd beta 48 hours later 310, 4th beta 72 hours later 1748.

    I owe my ob/gyn like $100 atm, and I pay when I can, I know its not a lot, but they don't make a big deal about it. That is just CRAZY! I am sorry that you are dealing with this!

    I cannot believe they would deny you an appointment because of a $45 balance. That is just bonkers to me! I would definitely call and speak with the office manager and offer to pay that balance over the phone and then ask to schedule the appointment during the same phone call. How ridiculous. Sorry you're going through this.

    March 2008 - DD born - no issues conceiving (surprise). Limited issues during pregnancy/delivery.
    June 2011 - Married DH.
    June 2013 - Diagnosis of Endometriosis and PCOS (approximate).
    December 2013 - First cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
    January 2014 - 2nd Cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
    February 2014 - 3rd Cycle of Clomid - Positive OPK. BFN
    March 2014 - Took month off to prep for surgery
    April 2014 - Laporoscopy for endo. Unable to remove endo due to too close of proximity to ureter. HSG done as well. Fillopian tubes open.
    May 2014 - 1st round of Femara. Positive OPK. BFN.
    June 2014 - 2nd round of Femara. Moved to RE to have CD10 Follicular U/S. No Follies in left ovary. 5 follies in right. Largest follie 8mm, 1 7mm, 2 3mm, 1 2mm. Positive OPK on day of U/S. BFN. DH has SA done at this time - All results within normal limits.
    July 2014 - 3rd round of Femara. CD10 Follicular U/S. No follies in left ovary. 7 follies in right. 1 20mm, 1 12mm, 1 10mm, 4 <5mm. Scheduled for IUI. Canceled due to low estrogen level of 145. TI this month. Prepping for Injectables next month. BFN.
    August 2014 - CD3 BW Normal. Injectables not happening because of stupid miscommunication about "required injectables class." Taking class this month. No medication. TI for the month. SIS scheduled for 8/7/14. SIS results - "I have a beautiful uterus." Huzzah!
    September 2014 - Cycle cancelled due to stupid AF coming early and making my IUI run in to DH's business trip. Try again next month.
    October 2014 - Injects with IUI cycle. 75U 5 days. Estrogen at 36. Bumped up to 125 for 4 days. Estrogen 105. Bumped up to 225. Ganirelix for 2 days. 4 mature follies. Triggered 10/9. IUI 10/10.
    BFP 10/24/2014. Beta #1 - 178   Beta #2 - 398.   U/S 11/7/14- TWINS!!!!

    BFP #6  (SUPRISE!) 3/19/15.  EDD 11/30/15...  CP at 4w2d.
    IUI #2:    Clomid + Follistim = 3 follies. BFN.
    IVF #2.2 May 2015 - horrible response to micro lupron flare protocol: 3R, 3M, 3F. 3dt of 2 Grade 3 embies. BFFN. 

    BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).

    This! If they had called I definitely would have paid it. Why does no one call anymore? One lousy phone call and I wouldn't have made this mistake. Like I said if we hadn't had to take a several month break to address MFI issues, I would have just paid it at my next visit.

    Wow! I would think they would give you the chance to pay them before they kick you out over $45. That is terrible.

    That sucks...

    Will they see you once the account is settled with the collections agency? They had to have at least sent several bill in the mail before it went to collections at least a warning that it would go to collections, no? Craziness.

    I would probably call back once you've settled the bill and I'm sure no one is that ridiculous over $45!!

    Of course we got bills, but I ignored them as we are also dealing with DH bills from his epilepsy. If it was a simple thing of paying the bill and then they would see me, I would have already done that and not posted about it.

    I'm upset because they will never take me as a patient again. Over just $45. I am fortunate enough that there is another office in town that can help me with IUI and IF issues. I just would have preferred to stay with the same doctor we wee already working with. But who knows maybe this can be a positive thing and the new doctor will be more aggressive and actually get us KtFU.

    If you want to stay with them, I would just contact them after it's settled up. They may well change their tone after that. Especially if you talk to someone else and the account is in good standing. If they still say no, I'd probably want to take revenge :) Post reviews online or file with BBB, I dunno just make things a pain for them too :)
