Baby is REALLY low. Thoughts?

Happy Thursday everyone. I'm 38 weeks today and baby's head is really low at +1 station. I'm 80% effaced but still closed. I understand the medical explanation of this, so I'm just looking for personal stories of women who were in similar situations. How soon after did you go into labor? I really hope I'll go soon...I'd be ok with a July 4th baby.

That's about how I was at 38 weeks, except 1cm. Dr keeps saying baby can't get any lower til birth. Today I'm 40+4 and dilated 2cm.
