Any beaches in Florida warm enough to swim in December?

We would take to take a vacation New Years week (end of Dec).. someplace near the beach, warm enough to swim.  I know Florida can be chilly in Dec, are there any areas that are still warm (80's) at that time of year?  Any suggestions for relaxing, family friendly beaches?  TIA

    I'm a FL native and I can second @cmeon_the_water. Some Decembers are 40 degrees. Some are 80. Some are in between. 

    Also, I lived in MA for 2 years and CT for 1 and I totally get the 40s being t-shirt weather in March vs coats in November :)

    Thanks. I appreciate the input. We went to Disney last Jan. it was in the 60s but the sun was so strong and nice. I live in NY and winters are effin cold, warm weather and a heated pool sounds wonderful

    I have been to Miami in December and it was perfect swimming weather. Last year, Orlando, in November was chilly.

    My nipples are used to 10 degree weather in Dec. I am not worried about how they will adjust to the beach in Miami :)

    the gulf tends to be warmer than the atlantic anytime of the year, although i've never been to Miami beach.  



    however long the night, dawn will break.

    I live in Miami (used to live on Miami beach)... It's typically lovely in December.

    All testing shows both H and I are perfectly normal. Baby Nacho had triploidy. 
    Back to normal business December 2012
