DS is on a schedule at daycare so on the weekends it's pretty easy to follow and maintain. I don't give bottles on the weekends though so I nurse whenever instead of just the times he eats at DC. His naps are usually around the same times though.
His wake up schedule changes daily and from there it depends on his bottle schedule. The only thing that stays pretty close to time everyday is his night routine.
DS has had his day down to a science for a few months. Same things happen like clockwork everyday. Sometimes he takes a longer nap but he still goes down for his second nap at the exact same time. Nursing/bottles, food and naps are always at the same time. I like it this way, I can plan around everything easier.
She pretty much is strict with her own schedule.. We were out until 930 over a friends house one night and we put her in the stroller and she fell asleep at her normal bedtime. We hardly ever do that but it's nice that we have the option
I am not strict about the exact time we do things, but I am strict about always feeding both at the same time. Also, whenever the first one wakes in the morning, I wake the second one. The same goes for naps, as long as both girls have been asleep for at least 30 minutes, I wake the second one after the first wakes. This helps keep them more or less on the same sleep/eat schedule. The exact time of day varies depending on when they woke up, how well they slept, and how stimulating or tiring their day has been. We do have a strict bedtime routine but it can vary in time anywhere from 7pm to 7:45 depending on when their last nap was and how tired they are.
I try to be strict with his bedtime routine (by 8:15-8:30 PM given we aren't out like maybe on a weekend) but that's it. The days he has daycare and wakes up earlier I do notice he's ready for an AM nap by 8:30-9 AM, but if it's an off day for me (Thursdays and Fridays) he will sleep late until like 8-9 AM with me. He hates napping for me unless it's on me, and I feed on damand.
Beau is much happier when he is on a strict schedule but it doesn't always happen. His morning nap really limits my errand running time so sometimes he goes down later than he should. I try to keep the rest of the day the same.
We just run with whatever right now. I feel like I need to get on a better schedule though. Especially with bedtime and wake up times. It's a work in progress right now.
I put SS. He is just on a routine, but I feed him at the same times everyday. He naturally wakes at 7am and is ready for his morning nap at 9 and generally his afternoon nap at 1. Bedtime usually happens around 6:30-7. How long he sleeps is up to him. Sometimes he naps a full 4 hours during the day and I have to wake him up to eat. Sometimes he only naps an hour and bedtime is a shit show.
Super strict bc I have to be due to DS's eating. With DD I was only "kinda strict" bc I was a nap/bedtime stickler (sp?). But with DS we have so much to do/fit in each day that I have very little wiggle room. It is really restricting and frustrating. But I know some day when the tube is out, it will be better.
LO has routine that is similar on most days. He pretty much set it himself. Of course, there are days that things are different because of activities or traveling.
Re: Schedules
LO then (2 days) and now (1 year)
