Trying to Get Pregnant

Wondfo Fail

I ordered 50 pregnancy tests from Amazon Prime (sold from Ding!) and my order came in yesterday. So, the manilla envelope had a sticker on it that read "Pregnancy Test Strips" but the little plastic baggie was full of Ovulation Test Strips! At first I just thought a couple were freebies (as you lovely ladies say they sometimes do), but EVERY test strip is for Ovulation. The instructions are for ovulation testing as well... =/

I thought about returning/exchanging them, but due to post - work brain mush, naturally I peed in a cup at tested (also pee on all of the things/POAS FTW!!!) before I could process that idea. Haha. Excuses.

A. FYI/Buyer Beware. And B. Have any of you ladies experienced this? -Where the packaging was mislabeled and received the wrong product? I'm just wondering how common this is before I re-order.

Re: Wondfo Fail

  • I've not had that happen. Have you tried contacting them?

I have no exact experience with O strips or this buyer, but definitely do go through the steps to get this corrected. Sellers don't like bad reviews and usually do what they have to in order to fix it for you. Could just be an honest mistake!

  • Also, you're probably better off. Wondfo HPTs are pretty useless anymore.

Because they're always having bad batches and giving false positives/negatives. Their OPKs seems to still be okay, but the last couple years their HPTs have been sketchy.

  • I haven't heard that about the HPTs @EllyD14. What cheapos do you prefer then?

I'd start with Amazon, if they can't help you they will tell you yo contact the seller directly.

You should have received a receipt with what to do if you have an issue. Or it should be in your email from Amazon.

  • I ordered Wondfo OPKs on Amazon the other day...it was either 50 OPKs for $20 or 50 OPKs plus 20 HPTs for $22.  So i got the combo pack, because for $2, why not.  I figure if i ever get a positive Wondfo HPT i'd take a secondary one anyway just to make sure (digital probably).  But it's distressing that i could possibly get a false negative HPT using Wondfos.  Not sure if i should keep these or trash them!
  • I am really not a wondfo fan. I have not had good luck/experiences with them. I ordered the digital ones for this go round and have had a MUCH better experience.
    Due March 2016 :)

I also have the combo pack. I just POAS OPK and I think the dye was running but my one from this morning was fine.

  • With my bfp cycle I tested at 14dpo and my wondfo hpt was stark white. I took an opk and it was blazing positive. That's the only reason I used my frer and it also came back positive. I posted the pic for comparison a while back. I don't have it anymore but I'm sure it's in my history if you're curious.

  • Given the bad experiences others have had with the Wondfo HPTs I'm switching to a different brand, too. Right now I have a FRER and a box of Target digitals but I'm going to grab a few Dollar Tree tests next time I go.
  • This all makes me sad I just ordered the combo pack from Amazon
  • UPDATE: I've contacted Amazon Customer Service and attempted to contact the seller directly. Apparently that was not possible, as all concerns get re-routed to Amazon despite the attempt.
Amazon CS got back to me super quick and refunded my order without the need for return/refund hassle. They also paid for 1 day shipping for the re-order.
Yes, I did re-order (but not from the same seller). I figure I'm not getting pregnant any time soon and really shouldn't be testing until 14 DPO or longest cycle length anyways. And if I ever got a positive I'm sure I would buy out every brand on the shelf/at least a digi to confirm. We shall see...

Thanks for all the stories and anecdotes ladies! I guess I'll still be purchasing my FRERs for early testing, anyways. If my cycle is late or abnormal I can continue testing with the Wondfos, not to waste the expensive tests when my cycle is whacked out or super long (AKA this month's on CD 37, with no AF in sight/possible late O).

@myatala - I've gotten false positives/evap lines off of Dollar Tree tests in the past. This was years ago, though. Perhaps they have changed. Just so you know...

  • I had a legit false positive about 2 weeks ago on a wondfo. I woke up one morning and felt super nauseous, though even though I was waiting to ovulate I decided it was a rational (not!) idea to pee on a Wondfo, because I'm a sad, sad addict, and it was positive in 2 minutes. Totally bizarre. Took a few more, all negative. I think that one stupid test was possibly a hidden undercover OPK or something!

But you're KU so the only logical explanation was that it was a magical Wondfo that saw into the future!

It's literally the one of the worst feelings..
Yeah, but this one didn't make any sense at all so the rational side of me knew it had to be a fluke!
