Thankful Thursday

Good morning!

Is this still a thread we do? I love these, so I figured I would start it this morning! Tell me what you're thankful for.

Here's mine: I'm thankful for my husband. Tomorrow is our 5 year anniversary. He makes me a better person and makes me laugh all the time! He's great!

Next Tuesday we are getting a new roof. Insurance is paying for it, so all we're responsible for is our deductible. I'm pretty excited about it!

I'm so thankful for a husband who's as dedicated to our marriage as I am. We're more in love today than when we got married because of it.

Also, I'm thankful for a clean bill of health yesterday at my physical with my primary! Just awaiting blood work, but otherwise, I'm a-ok!

I'm thankful for my beautiful boys, two had birthdays in June and my bd is later in July, it makes me think about when I wa pg with them, when they were little, etc. I am blessed beyond measure!

I'm thankfull for all my boys! My boys turn 7 this Sunday, the whole family from both sides is getting together for a big 4th of July cookout/birthday celebration at our Lakehouse in the NY FLX. AND then my DH and I celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary on July 15th, we love July! Have a great 4th everyone!!!

I'm thankful for the summer even thought I'm a contract teacher and don't get paid. The time to recharge and de-stress was much needed. I'm also thankful for the contractors who are finally at my house today to start repairing the walls. They were supposed to start last week but now they really are here.

I am so thankful for the support of my family and friends over this past week. It has really helped me to stay positive and strong.

I am thankful for a new job in the parish where I live. It has taken me five years of applying and interviewing to get in because it's a highly competitive area, and my scores have finally spoken!

My H and I are going mattress shopping this afternoon, and I will be thankful for a new mattress if we pick one!

I'm also extremely thankful that I don't have any student loan debt; I see many of my friends still buried in theirs and it makes me so sad!

So many things to be thankful for....

I'm thankful for the new job that I just scored. After 7 years of traveling week to week, I can slow down and FINALLY get off the road.

I'm thankful for my ever supportive husband, he makes me smile like no other. He's interestingly enough, the calm to my storm because I just so happen to be the hot headed impatient (sometimes) bitch in our relationship. He's always so cool & finds the most creative ways to calm me down.

I'm also thankful for a short work day today and an awesome trip to DC for the weekend. Spending 4th of July in DC will be pretty awesome.

I am thankful for the movers who are moving 98% of our stuff in today and that I don't have to.

I am also thankful to H's company who is paid for the movers to pack our stuff and move.

ashleyinva not sure yet. We are meeting up with some friends who haven't decided if they want to go to the mall or a roof top party where we can then watch the fireworks. Fingers crossed that the bad weather moves FAR away from DC this weekend!

I'm thankful that DH just found out today that he is getting a big fat 17% raise! He has been really upset lately feeling like he is underpaid. I hope this helps him feel better about his job. Plus, the extra money is going to be great!!

A former patient of mine who used to call me a bitch and tell me I was wasting his time with "stupid pointless shit" randomly dropped by to see me today, gave me a hug, told me he's living in his own place, driving, and working 40 hours a week. When I started treating him he was completely dependent and didn't know what day it was most of the time.

(He summarized by saying "but you're still a slave driver" and cracking himself up)

So today I am a slave driving bitch who is thankful for her job.

I am so thankful for the 3-day weekend. It'll be our first weekend home with very little plans in a long time. We're hoping to get a lot of stuff done around the house.

I'm so thankful for H today. I caught a mother of a cold and have an ear infection. He has been taking care of me since yesterday, and took the boys out on an adventure to get them out if the house before he goes to work (second shift).

I am thankful for my puppy whose birthday is today (he's 3!). I honestly don't know what I'd do without this dog. He helps to keep my sane.

I am thankful for the 5 day weekend that H has, we're going to Ikea! And I'm thankful to have a husband who I love spending time with and love running errands with.

Since it is 4th of July weekend I am thankful for my freedom and DH who once served his country and is now a police officer. I am thankful for my DD who makes me a better mother everyday.

I'm thankful for our doctor who saw DS at a moments notice and discovered his ear infection. My poor baby was and still is miserable but a lot of doctors would have made us wait 24 hours from when his fever started. They took him first thing in the morning right after we took his temp. She always goes above and beyond the call of duty and I'm thankful for that.
