**** BFP WARNING **** If you're not up to reading about BFPs today, please scroll past the announcement at the end of this message, which is bracketed by these: =====.

This is a weekly check-in for those who have lost an angel with a November EDD. If you would like to be added to our group, please reply to this message with your EDD and date and stage of loss. Please also tell us a little bit about yourself and your TTCAL journey so far. Those with loss dates in November are also welcome. As time goes on, it is only to be expected that there will be graduates, which means that there will at times be BFPs listed here. On weeks when we do have a BFP to celebrate, you’ll see a warning at the top of the page, which is provided so you’ll have the option of scrolling past the announcement if you need to. If you do get your BFP, please PM me so that we can congratulate you appropriately in the next check-in.

General Updates: How are you doing? Any appointments or other updates you’d like to share?

Shout outs: If you aren't listed, we haven’t heard from you for a week or two. Please jump in!

@scrang74, I'm glad you and your fiancee had a good talk. How's the wedding planning coming along?
@mara005, You have CH's! I'm excited for you that your FM, OPKs and chart all seem to be in agreement about your O. FX for you, love!
@LittleMrsW, Looks like your chart is showing you CH's despite those goofy temps you had in the first part of your cycle. I'm glad your timing worked out OK despite the challenging work schedule. At O-2, you're definitely in the game for this cycle. GL!
@HMR11913, I spy CH's on your chart, too. I figured that would happen after last week's check-in. Yay! How's the 2WW treating you?
@tlc35, How are you? Any further news about the potential change in work locations for you? FX that it all works out so that you don't have to travel so far.
@aswedishbee, I'm so sorry for the loss in your family last week. ((HUGS)).  Are you back home yet? How are you doing?
@MrsKush1014, How are things going for you this week? Is your cycle getting back to normal at all?
@littlecookie, I'm sorry those betas were still positive last week. How are things this week?
@sarcaztic10, I'm sorry you've feeling kind of lost and hopeless lately. ((HUGS)). How are things this week? Did you end up doing that progesterone check?
@ReadheadRunning, How are you doing? Good luck for your upcoming monitoring appointment on Sunday.
@nighthawkswife, Once again, welcome to the check-in. If I'm reading correctly, I think you joined us a couple of weeks ago as @soon to be mrs pham, but you changed your SN since then... is that right? How are you doing this week?
@denamaree, Happy anniversary! How are you this week? When do you leave for Vegas?
@raelynn71109, How are you doing? How are you recovering from the D&C, and has the bleeding stopped? ((HUGS))
@sunflwra, How are things going for you this week? How was your return to work? ((HUGS)).

QOTW: How often do you read, watch or listen to the news? If you don't pay attention to news often, what about it turns you off or disinterests you? If you do follow the news, when did you start doing so? Is it something you've always done?

Re: /|\ November angels check-in 7/1 /|\

  • Thanks for the check-in @HeyMrspotter. How did your appointment with the RE go today?

I think the bleeding has finally stopped! Today is the first day in 7 weeks that I haven't had any bleeding or spotting! I'm so excited and I hope this means that I've finally passed everything. I have my follow up from the second D&C tomorrow morning so I'm sure they'll check my betas too. Now that the bleeding has stopped I'll probably start temping again so hopefully I'll have an idea of when to expect AF.

QOTW: I used to read MSN.com and CNN.com on a daily basis, but not so much anymore. Sadly, most of my news updates now come from little briefs I hear on the radio or posts that I see on TB.

Yay! Happy dance! @raelynn71109, I'm so very glad to hear that it's finally stopped for you! It must feel great to finally be moving on from that long stage. FX that your follow-up tomorrow brings good news about those betas.
  • My update: My monitoring u/s today showed two mature follies, so I will take my Ovidrel trigger injection tonight and we'll do our IUI on Thursday. I'm taking off Thursday and Friday for a long Fourth of July weekend. I can't wait for some fun and relaxation.

QOTW: I am a news hound. It started right after September 11. Everyone was so desperate for information about what happened and why at that time. I started checking news sites over and over as a way to cope with the shock and uncertainty. Then it just became a habit.

Thanks for the check-in @HeyMrsPotter! I hope the RE appt went well!
ETA: Just saw your update! Woo hoo for triggering! FX for the IUI!!!! Enjoy the long weekend.

So happy to hear that the bleeding has stopped @raelynn71109!!! I will keep my fingers crossed that things continue to progress along and that AF comes sooner than later so you can put this all behind you.

AFM: I'm just waiting to O and getting anxious for Sunday's monitoring appointment. I am hoping that all looks great, that the retained tissue has passed, and that I will get a treatment plan for August.

QOTW: I don't purposely watch or read news on a daily basis but I usually know what's going on through DH's tv watching habits, water cooler talk, and FB newsfeed.

Thanks for the check in @HeyMrsPotter and I have my fx for your IUI on thursday.

@raelynn71109 I am so glad your bleeding finally stopped and I hope your betas are down.

I am having a better week and still hoping that I don't O until after I see H.  I will see him next monday night.  I am hopeful that this job works out.  It is about a 1.5 hr drive from where I live but only 3 days a week.  I am meeting with them in 2 weeks and I will know more then.

QOTW: How often do you read, watch or listen to the news? If you don't pay attention to news often, what about it turns you off or disinterests you? If you do follow the news, when did you start doing so? Is it something you've always done?
I don't watch it in any kind of organized fashion.  I do sometimes turn it on when I'm getting dressed in the morning.  It irritates me when the media picks one thing to focus on, for example they covered the missing plane to death.  I know it was news but they kept discussing it even when there was no new information and they were just speculating.

  • Thanks, @redheadrunning. I'll be thinking of you on Sunday and sending good vibes for all to go exactly as you hope at your monitoring appointment.

@tlc35, Based on the O date in the previous cycle in your chart history, it does look like it would be reasonable to be optimistic that you will get to see DH again before O this cycle. FX that the timing works out well for you. I'm glad you're having a better week, and I hope the upcoming meeting regarding the job goes well.

FWIW, tlc, I agree with you about news being sensationalized, over-covered, and full of speculation. I also can't stand celebrity gossip being treated as real news. That turns me off from a lot of TV news.

Yes, last cycle I O'd CD 22 so that would work out well.  My pre-loss cycles I O'd between CD 16 and 19 so I actually don't want to be back to "normal".

@redheadrunning I hope all goes well at your appointment this weekend!

    Thanks for the check-in!

@raelynn71109 I am SO glad that the bleeding stopped for you! I so hope your beta's are low and you find yourself negative very soon!
@HeyMrsPotter I am so excited for you for your IUI on Thursday! I hope this is your month!! Yey, for having a four day weekend too! Enjoy!!
@RedHeadRunning Hope you get your good news with no more pesky retaining tissue and you are able to put together a solid plan of action for August!
@tlc35 sorry that the commute separates you and DH, but so hoping that your O cooperates and it arrives in good timing for some quality TTC time!

As for me.. I ended up bleeding pretty heavily for five consecutive days with my first cycle post D&C, but was SO grateful it made its timely exit this past Friday afternoon in time for a weekend in the wilderness with friends. I am at CD8 and have never ovulated without the assistance of clomid, but got permission from the RE to not prevent this month so we are going at it every other night. Provided I don't ovulate, I'm hoping my cycle will show it's ugly face again around the weekend of Jul 25th and we have a trip to Las Vegas scheduled for August 7-10th when I could potentially ovulate (I ovulated on CD13 before the MC). I have the prescription for next cycle for 50ml of clomid to take CD 5-9 and our TTC journey will definitely begin! In the meantime we drive out to Denver this Thursday to catch my beloved Dodgers play the Colorado Rockies on the 4th!

QOTW: I put the news on as background noise when I am getting things done around the house. If a story catches my attention I will stop and watch it! I am more apt to watch the nightly world news then local news!

  • Hi all and thanks for the check-in @HeyMrsPotter‌ ! Things are going well for the wedding planning...32 days away! My Type A personality is making it reeeeeally hard to delegate decorating jobs, but I guess I should be in the wedding photos, so learning to loosen my grip. :) In the baby making world, I am CD25 (cycle was over CD 27/28 pre MC) and not feeling any positive symptoms like I did back in March at this point (ie sore breasts, implantation bleeding), so feeling sad EVEN though we decided to hold off for a couple of months. Question: should I keep temping even if not TTC? My cycle seems pretty clear, especially with the OPK's. However, I know they aren't 100%reliable, so I'm assuming the regular temping is a good backup plan...

    Good luck @heymrspotter and @mara005!
@scrang74 I have charted to avoid in the past. So if you want to keep temping while you're tta, you can use your temping to confirm that you've passed your fw.

CD1 again here, so I'll probably try and get my beta done after AF.

I'm not crazy about the news, because it's usually so negative. I lurk on a politics and current events board and get a lot of news there or on fb.

@HeyMrsPotter- thanks for the check-in!! Good luck with the IUI this week and I hope you have a wonderfully restful long weekend!!

@raelynn71109 - I'm so sorry about the spotting- UGH :(

@redheadrunning - I can totally understand being ready for a plan- good luck this week!

@tlc35 - hoping O waits until the right time for you and hopefully everything goes well with the new job closer to home!!

@denamaree - have fun in the wilderness!!

@scrang74 -  good luck with the final wedding countdown!  I'm not much help on the temping since I've never really done more than OPKs.  I'd say if you want to take a break though, you could just keep doing OPKs while not TTC and then go back to temping when you get serious again- take a bit of a break and let yourself focus on all of the fun wedding stuff

@sarcaztic10 - so sorry about the HSG and delay, that sucks!!

AFM-  first week back at work hasn't been too terrible so far.  Had a couple of crying sessions with the ladies in my dept and then just kept a low profile.  I'm off tomorrow and then just one day before the long holiday weekend- yay!!  It's also been so busy that today flew, so that makes things easier as well.  Part of me is really hoping that we'll have our karyotyping results back early next week as well, so I want the time to go faster!!

QOTW: Don't watch the news much. We used to have the national news on while we were getting dinner ready, etc but now that we're on Central Time, we miss the national and I can't stand much local news- especially the news anchors in our area, just kind of cheesy.  MSN is my web home page so I figure that most of the big stuff I'll need to know will be there :)

    Edit- add in QOTW

    BFP #1- 4/2011; DD Brynn born 12/2011

BFP #2- 7/13; EDD- 4/2/14; Lost DS at 20 weeks (11/16/13) due to cord accident

BFP #3- 3/14; EDD- 11/28/14; Lost DD at 15 weeks (6/7/14)- cause unknown

To my angels- I held you every second of your lives and I'll love you every second of mine.

Had my follow up this morning from my second D&C. Dr said that the retained tissue I had was really stuck to the wall of my uterus did not break away as easily as it usually does. She had to use a tool that they usually use on fibroids and, in fact, she thought maybe there was a fibroid (but the test results came back that it was just the products of conception). She said she removed a handful of tissue. She said that my uterus has been traumatized and needs time to heal and build the lining back up before TTC again. She's having me go back on the pill for 2 months. I know that it's for the best, but it still sucks. :-(

Oh, and they didn't check my betas. She said that even if there is a tiny bit left that it's best to let it work it's way out. We don't want to do anything more invasive at this point. I'll probably just track with dollar store tests for my own peace of mind.

@DenaMaree, I'm glad AF made a timely exit so that you could enjoy your weekend. I'm glad your RE cleared you to not prevent -- even though you don't normally O on your own, you never know what may happen, so GL to you. Enjoy the game in Denver!

@scrang74, yes, it would indeed be good if you were in your own wedding photos rather than running around doing decorations that day! I know it's hard to delegate, but I hope you can assign the work to some people you feel confident in. Sorry you're feeling like this cycle didn't work, but you're never out until AF shows, so I'll keep my FX for you. As for charting while you're not actively trying before the wedding, if this will just add more stress to your life and you need to limit the craziness, I'd say skip it and don't look back. But if you can do it without worrying too much, temping will help you get in the habit and start gathering good information about your cycle.

@mara005, I'm loving your temp shift today. FX for you!

@littlecookie, It looks like you probably did O last cycle, so that combined with AF's return has me hopeful that those betas will be at or near 0 at your next draw. GL.

@sarcaztic10, I'm sorry about the extra bench time. ((HUGS)). Keep us posted on your testing results?

@raelynn71109, I'm sorry the bleeding has returned. FX that it will be short-lived. ((HUGS)). I'm also sorry about the extra couple of months of bench time while you're on BCP, but I'm glad your doctor is being very thorough about making sure your ute has time to heal. It sounds like you're in very good hands. In the meantime, I think using dollar store tests sounds like a reasonable approach to keeping an eye on your HCG.

@sunflwra, I'm glad work has been mostly OK, and I hope you enjoy your long weekend. FX those test results come soon. Waiting is not easy.

@HMR11913, I'm glad FF is giving you a more decisive picture of what's going on with your chart this cycle. I understand completely about not getting your hopes up ((HUGS)), but I'm keeping my FX for you. I don't think it's a bad plan to POAS before the party this weekend. And congrats on getting a puppy. How fun! I'm officially requesting that you share those cute puppy pics, please.
  • @HeyMrsPotter‌ Good luck tomorrow!

@redheadrunning Hope that your appointment goes well and everything has passed!

@tlc35 FX for good timing this month!

@DenaMaree Have fun in Denver this weekend!

@scrang72 I agree with PPs. I would continue to temp to stay in the habit and so that you know what's going on if you do have a weird cycle. You're always regular until you aren't!

    @mara005‌ Yay for O!

    @littlecookie FX for negative betas!

@sarcaztic10 So sorry that you are benched for an extra cycle. :-(

@sunflwra FX that your results come back quickly and that you get good news!

@HMR11913‌ Yay for CH and congrats on the new puppy. You'll have to share pics!

  • @raelynn71109‌ I'm sorry about the extended benching. Hugs! Hopefully when you burn you'll be all healed up and ready to rock and roll.

  • Thanks for starting the check-in @HeyMrsPotter! I appreciate the kind words from everyone regarding the death in the family. It was my Great Aunt, who was more like a grandmother to me growing up. She has been battling Alzheimer's for many many years and while it's sad, it's better - know what I mean? I'm just glad I remember her as she was before she got sick.

AFM, I am still hanging with AF. Seriously. This is day 16. I want to climb into a hole and die. The past two days I thought I might be done when all of a sudden I started to feel bad and crampy and there it was again. Ugh ...

QOTW: How often do you read, watch or listen to the news? If you don't pay attention to news often, what about it turns you off or disinterests you? If you do follow the news, when did you start doing so? Is it something you've always done?
I am pretty much anti-news because all of the agencies pick a side and bash the other, or just focus too much on one subject like many others have said. I scan Yahoo, ABC and FoxNews for headlines and then do my own searches and reading from there. I used to watch Good Morning America every day before work but haven't since Diane Sawyer left - they had the best human interest stories. Now I oversleep for work so much the TV is never on until at least 7p!

  • @aswedishbee, I'm glad your good memories of your Great Aunt are a comfort for you. ((HUGS)). I really hope AF packs her bags and leaves town soon.
  • Hi ladies, I'm late to post as usual!
Thank you for the check-in @heymrspotter, I will be thinking about you tomorrow and sending good vibes your way!
@aswedishbee-I'm really sorry about your Aunt, just keep the good memories her! Also AF needs to GTFO now!

@sarcaztic10-FX your next cycle will be the last one on the bench.

@scrang74 I think it would be nice to just worry about the wedding, my cycles are all over the place, so I would still use OPK's, but if you're super comfortable with it, just say to heck with it all and focus on the wedding.

@redheadrunning I'm hoping that Sunday you can have a plan in place and move forward!

@raelynn-So sorry about being benched longer ((Hugs))

AFM, I'm happy my chart finally gave me CH's! Frequency wasn't the greatest, but they say it only takes one time so we shall see. I was so frustrated on Sat, MH and I got into this huge argument (not TTC related) so there was absolutely no having sex that night. It was a total bummer.
I'm really looking forward to a 3 day weekend and can't wait to spend some much needed time in the sun.

QOTW: I read the news occasionally now, I used to read it daily but there is just so much negativity I don't bother.

  • Thanks, @LittleMrsW. Right now I'm freaking out because I woke up totally convinced that I O-ed last night, which would be a waste of the IUI planned for today. I'm trying to stay calm while I wait for the RE's nurse to return my call.

I'm sorry that you and YH had an argument that interfered with your timing. If those things are going to happen, it would at least be nice if it wasn't during FW. But, as you said, it only takes one. GL to you, and enjoy your lovely, long weekend.
  • Step away from the thermometer!
Lol, in all seriousness though, I'm glad you were able to get it in there and get it done.
