Our sweet little girl is here!
I had been scheduled for an elective induction on Monday 6/30 but it was postponed due to the hospital being at capacity. So we were told come in yesterday July 1st. We got to the hospital around 8:30 am and got settled in our room. I was nervous because I was supposed to be induced using cervadil and had a heard a lot of horror stories about it. My doctor came in at 10 and decidedTo break my water and give me 4 hours to make progress on my own. Four hours later I was having regular contractions but they were still 10 minutes apart so we talked strategy. I had been told after my last pregnancy that I couldn't have pitocin but my doctor said he felt my last doctor had given me too much and that tiny doses at a time would be fine. I agreed to try it even though I was scared of having another bad reaction. An hour later things were progressing slowly but it was good. Another hour and I was ready for that epidural lol. The anesthesiologist missed her her mark and hit spinal fluid the first time. I felt the needle and it was not fun. They called the head anesthesiologist in and he got it done right. I was feeling great shortly after that.

they checked me and I was at 5cm. An hour later baby's heart rate dropped and they rushed in to turn me. In the process the nurse realized the baby's head was right there. I had gone from 5 to 10 cm in an hour! They got all set up and my family rushed over. I pushed for 30 minutes and out came out beautiful baby girl! 8 lbs 11oz 21 inches long at 7:44pm bright red hair just like me! Her big brothers came to see her today and we're so excited. Although our son Mason, who is 2, doesn't seem to understand she is coming home with us forever lol. Anyway, I was excited to share the news with all of you and congratulations to all of you on your sweet bundles!
