I'm a little bigger (5'9" and as off my last appointment 262) I wore an XL pre-pregnancy, but I have no idea what size I'm supposed to buy now. I'm due in December, but it's so hot now in summer, I want to make sure that what I buy can last me until the colder months, but I don't want it to be too big now. This is my first pregnancy. HELP!!!!
Re: Maternity Clothes
Many women also find certain non-maternity items work if bought a size or two bigger, particularly loose flowy tops. Length is the measurement that can be tricky (again, depends on your torso). Maxi dresses are great for summer, as are foldover jersey skirts and long tank tops. Tanks can then be layered with a cardigan or shrug in fall and winter.
If you buy regular maternity, buy your regular size.
Also I've bought a few ribbed tanks from old navy that were only a few dollars and aren't maternity. I'm 36 weeks and they still fit.
