Re: GTKY: Snakes or Spiders?

  • I don't like spiders but I am fucking petrified of snakes. I often have nightmares about them out of nowhere.

Not to mention that if you step on a pregnant spider all of her babies run out (or something that looks like that at least.)

  • Spiders don't bother me because I don't like bugs. I can usually just ignore them. But snakes are big enough to do legit damage to my person. Now, rationally, I know that spider bites are no joke, but I've been able to avoid the scaries when I have encountered them, but snakes always take me by surprise.

Snakes are way worse. I'm totally cool with spider bros as long as they're not trying to chill in my house.

  • Hmm... Haha. Btw I love the pic you chose Elly!
It was way harder than it should have been to find some damn fan art of just the two of them. But it was totally worth it.

  • I can't do snakes at all. Even seeing them in pictures/on TV gives me minor heart palpitations. I have an irrational fear of a snake getting in my house. More than once I've seen H's belt thrown across the floor in the dark & been convinced it was a snake, followed by a full on freak out. (I think he does that shit on purpose!)

  • We have two snakes, so they don't bother me at all. I have also decapitated several copperheads. I'm sorry, if you can kill me, you don't get to hang in my yard.

Spiders don't scare me, but I do not like them ON Me, and will go to great lengths to keep that from happening. Especially since DH found a black widow in our Woodpile. It is now his job exclusively to bring wood in.

    My Chart
  • I chose spiders because they seem to always make their way into my apartment, but I can't handle either...at all.

  • I had an incident with a very dark bathroom in a community park where I unrolled some toilet paper and was prepping to wipe and a giant spider fell off of it. In my memory it was like four inches but that's probably an exaggeration. I'm permanently damaged at having almost put a spider so close to my vagina. Never trust anything in a dark park bathroom.
    Holy shit.

    Fuck all the spiders!!
  • I voted that spiders are worse but them someone mentioned in the house. I don't know which is worse if it's in my house. I know the fear of living with brown recluse spiders. I don't know what I would do if a snake moved in.

I don't have a fees of pet snakes as I grew up with them. It's the wild ones that scare me.
  • I can't stand either, but I truly despise spiders

Lol I will take all the snakes because there are no venomous ones here. Fuck spiders I check my shoes before putting them on because in afraid they'll sneak it. Brown recluses look harmless but they are DEADLY!! I already posted this pic but this thread warrants reposting. Fuck spiders.

Not for nothing, but as petrifying as a vaginal encounter with a spider would be, it's tame compared to the many incidents that came to my mind while imagining a dark bathroom in a community park.

I've been itchy for 36 hours. Please can we let the snake and spider threads burn in hell now?!?!
