I went to kmart to try to get a beach cover up and asked the girl if they had a maternity section..... She looked at me with a smirk and said " do you mean the big girl section " I clarified and said "no like pregnant person section" she then called her coworker over and asked her .... "Do we have a big girl section" and they both were totally holding back laughter - I nearly lost it.

Oh my gosh. I swear some of the retail workers I've dealt with have been the most tactless of all of my pregnancies! This takes the cake though!

Not long ago, (I was not as big, but still obviously pregnant, at least I thought so) we were at the movie theater and as I was walking to the bathroom, I heard a teenage boy say "man that girl was fat."

Now,I look quite young and could probably pass as one of his friends, but what an idiot.

That's horrible. You should have told her she'd be more familiar with the maternity section if it was near the stupid bitch section. I would definitely email kmart customer service about her.

Tomorrow, give a call to the store and ask for the manager. Let him/her know how rude the employees for. You don't have to ask for anything in return...just tell them that it was unacceptable. They should know what's going on.

That's completely unacceptable, and I agree that you should file a complaint.

I'm normally not good with confrontation, but my pregnancy hormones have me on a short fuse. I probably would have went off on both girls, then on the manager if that'd happened to me.

To be fair, a lot of plus size clothes do work for maternity. I'm normally plus and get away with wearing a lot of my pre pregnancy tops b/c they're cut just right.

ugh that sucks. People are extremely rude. On the bright side, it's a dead company so hopefully they'll close that store soon and those assholes will be out of a job.
