what is your current exercise routine?

If you are still exercising what are you doing at this time? At 31 weeks I feel so heavy and my legs/hips are getting sore. My exercise has been pre-natal yoga and about 15-30 min. on the elliptical a few times a week.oh yeah and chasing a 3 year old! Ugggh!

I'm running and doing a light arms routine. I run 4-5 times a week and do the weights twice a week. I'm 10 weeks 6 days, no idea if I'll be able to run at 31 weeks though ;)

Chasing around my 2 year old. Totally serious. No energy or time for anything else. Would love to have the time and energy to go for a long walk or swim like I did the first time around. When. I was prego last time, I hiked out in the hills up till I was 8 months and then it got too snowy for trekking outside...

Ah, this question makes me sad. :(

Up until 32 weeks, I was walking 2-3 miles a day with my dog and taking Zumba twice a week. I felt great and exercise made me feel even better.

Then I had a bleeding scare and was put on light duty by my doctor. After my appointment last week, he cleared me to "walk around the block," so I have been doing a short walk every day. Maybe a quarter mile? It feels like nothing to me and I am dying to start my walking routine again. Who knows if I will be cleared for that before baby arrives, though, so I am trying not to get my heart set on it.

I hope to resume walking as soon as possible once the baby is born.

I'm only 8wks but I have been able to keep my routine with a few exceptions. I take a circuit/bootcamp class 2x a week. Instead of running, I run/walk 2-3x a week and I have to keep it all pretty low. My heart rate jumps quickly. And 1-2x a week do a spin class. I know this will all change soon.

I'm 7 weeks so do my 35 minutes of cardio daily.  I did cut the intensity by 1 level and hope to keep that up until month 4.  Then I will switch to tread mill.  Its too hot to be outside over here.

So sorry to hear this. This would make me sad too. Is this considered the same as bedrest, I hope not for your sake. I feel like I have to do "something" for exercise even if its a few times a week. Its mental with me. I hope you get back to yourself soon.

No, it's not full bed rest, thank goodness. I am allowed to go places and be up and about, but I am supposed to rest as much as possible and not push things too hard. Also, no intercourse.

I was very proud of the fact that I was able to exercise well into the third tri, though. I even went on a six-mile hike at 30 weeks.

I have been working out 2x a week with my trainer - thankfully at least a couple of the days I have had energy whereas other days I have had none and been nauseaous so we have done lighter workouts.  And until this past week where the temps and humidity soared I was getting my 10k steps in per day by walking around outside and running errands. (Not going to lie - this week I have been lazy due to the weather!)

Once I hit my first tri I am going to start prenatal yoga classes and a pre-natal fit class plus workout with trainer 1x per week.  I have heard good things about water aerobics - and just laps in general.  I swam competitively up through HS so I am considering getting back into it - though that involves buying a suit...

I do a fast, hilly trail walk for 3 miles about 5 days per week, some strength training and stretching, but I will most likely transition to yoga in the next few weeks.
