Sex Question

I am new to the charting and temping thing, I know that my expected "O" date is this Saturday. So, should my DH and I just have sex on Saturday or is it every other day? I hope this isn't a dumb question sorry in advance if it is.

The 4 days before your anticipated O until the day after you O is what you're shooting for. Every day or every other day, up to you.

From my understanding, You want to try to hit all the days around your O as well. We try to do it every day from 4 days before until 4 days after just in case

The best days are the days leading up to O and the day of.

I try to hit -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 and O.

How do you know you will O on Saturday? Are you temping?

Yes I am temping and from what I understand is that you usually ovulate 14 days after your period, Is that right?

No. That's just an average. You can't know in advance when you'll ovulate. You can know when it is more likely (by temping for several cycles and/or using OPKs), but temping confirms after the fact. I've ovulated anywhere from cd8 to cd25-ish.

On average women ovulate 14 days before your period. The time between AF and your O can change, but the time from your O until your next AF is usually consistent. Those are averages though, temping will help you figure out what your body does.

Some women ovulate 14 days after their period but not all. If this is your first cycle temping I would use OPKs to predict ovulation and just to be safe I'd start having sex around CD 11 every day or every other day until you confirm ovulation by temping.

I have a pretty regular 30 day cycle and always assumed that I ovulated on CD 14 since I didn't have long cycles but since I started temping I realized that I usually ovulate on CD 20. Good luck!

I would also suggest using OPKs to see when you are going to O. OPKs read positive 12-36 hours before O. I received some good advice to have sex at least O-1, O, and O+1 based upon the positive OPK. But I would also recommend EOD sex starting six days before.
