  This may be a weird question, but are they going to look for your IUD while they do the ultrasound?

  I don't think so. She said they would look for it with an X-ray after I hit 12 weeks. I'm wondering if I can even avoid that...I hate the idea of an X-ray while pregnant. If it's not an emergency, and we know it's not in my uterus, I wonder why they don't wait until after baby is born to find it. :-/

  I have (had?) paragard...and I remember signing some kind of paper acknowledging the package insert was offered to me to read (which I admit I didn't, under the assumption that the doctor would tell me anything important. Dumb.). I'm guessing the insert says something about this possibility. I don't know that I would have any kind of case since I signed that paper.
  I might look into it more after we do the X-ray and find out if it's still in my abdomen.
