Imaginary Friends?

So ds was nursing today and out of nowhere, he unlatched and looked to the other side of the room. He randomly started saying "hi" and then he started waving! Sometimes he will look like he is looking at someone that isn't there but it has never been as obvious as this. However, I am sure he was probably just waving hi to the bed or something. He does tend to say hi everyone and everything. :) Anyone else have kiddos that seem to have "imaginary friends"?

Re: Imaginary Friends?

  • Yes, LO sometimes waves when there is nobody to be waved at. I figure she's waving at some inanimate object.

  • 1 is a little young for an imaginary friend. Maybe it was a shadow or light.

Or maybe it was the ghost.

  • DD waves to inanimate things. For example, she loves being outside. When we come back in the house she looks out the window and waves "bye bye" to outside lol. It's adorable.
  • there is one spot in our basement that Bram always waves to. I have no idea why because we moved all the furniture and stuff and he still does it.
  • I am with the ghost idea. I now own my grandparents old house and my grandmother died of ovarian cancer in the house. My mom kept her dog and whenever she comes over for a visit the dog goes to one spot and barks/wags tail and stares. DS has started staring over there and sometimes will wave but I don't think he to sure yet what to think.

You know there are articles that say because of a childs innocence they can see more then we can, animals too. Maybe its true.
