RAWV

R: DH just walked by holding our littlest girl and held her up to me and said, "I got out of the roo-oom, I got out of the roo-oom!" It made me laugh because we had been talking about how it was a battle of the wills and we would be the winner, not the girls.  I guess the littlest one won though, she was all smiles, giggles and coos for about 10 minutes and then wanted to nurse and is all conked out.  It's adorable, but not really how I wanted the last two hours to go...

R2: I've decided my go to contribution to gatherings will be cupcakes from scratch.  Not all all healthy or in line with what I am trying to teach my kids, but I am really loving making fancy cupcakes :)

AW: We paid off my car!!  I am so happy, we are officially only in debt to our mortgage and I couldn't be happier.

V: Why do my kids not want to sleep?? Mama wants SLEEP!
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

Re: RAWV

  • R -
AW - My Grandpa called last night and SURPRISE!  He is in town!  He lives 2 states away and was out traveling.  We are leaving on vacay Sunday and found out that we can stay with DH's cousin at their vacation house on the way.
V -  I couldn't sleep after DH got up because my knee was hurting. So, now at 6:40 am I have made a batch of banana bread muffins from scratch & ate 2 of them, drank 16 oz of coffee and showered.

  • R- A huge thunderstorm rolled through early this morning.
AW- DH comes home tomorrow and we've been doing well. My brother came over last night and read to DS1 until he fell asleep. It was pretty darn cute.
Vent- it's 8 AM and already hot! Also, the humidity is like 90%....you don't even need to look that up, just look at my hair! Totally rocking the big 80's hair today. Plus my son keeps jamming random costume hats on my head.
  • R: DS, DD1, and I have a rash ALL over our chest, face, and arms. No fevers! I finally figured out that we are allergic to the cheap crappy off-brand Island Nectar fabric sheets. BARF!! Our sheets are in the wash with our expensive Snuggle Lavender Sandalwood fabric sheets that do NOT make us break out. Ugh!!

AW: I have LOTS of energy today and have already been super productive. I have so much to do around here so energy is good. I am motivated! And I absolutely LOVE our new house! I feel very Blessed today...

    V: Nothing? Yet...

  • I have another Vent.

My mother calls me almost daily to "See what you're doing."  I feel like she checking on me because I'm either doing too much or not enough.  It's never just right.

Today she tells me that she volunteer her and myself to make jam for my brother because they just don't have time to do it themselves.  Her reasoning was that with my brother being the sole bread winner and sil being pregnant it would just be too much.  We are planning on doing it this winter with frozen berries, but of course then they'll be busy with the new baby.  For real?? I have a new baby (obviously not so new by winter) and somehow I get my butt out to pick the fruit.  I did it last summer pregnant and I didn't hear her offering to do it for me (never mind sil doing it for me).  I'm sorry, it just yanks my chain that she has two million excuses for them and does not see the similarities or even recognize that things aren't that different between our two families and somehow we manage to make it work because we WANT to. They don't have time because they don't want to MAKE time. So why I should have to help them due to this is beyond me. End rant.

  • R: I got only 4 hours of solid sleep and two more of interrupted sleep.

Aw 1: dd's "dots" (as she calls them) from HFM are almost gone.... We are going out today!!!

Aw 2: due to my inability to sleep I got a lot done last night, including my curriculum map for next year and an hour of writing in my journal.

V: dd got up at five and I didn't call asleep until around one.
