How do you know if baby is head down? I have felt hiccups on my lower left side every single time. So I was wondering if that's a sign that baby is down and heading to the right direction.
My midwife palpated my belly at my last appt and said baby was head down, pretty low in my pelvis. Spinningbabies.com has a pretty cool way for you to map out the baby's position yourself too, based on where you are feeling movement and how strong it is in what area.
I think this LO has been head down most of the time. Since the movement became consistent, I have always felt kicks in my ribs and hiccups down near my hips. My OB confirmed at my last appointment.
I felt stronger movements in my upper abdomine (her legs and feet) when she has the hiccups i feel them low, usually she's bouncing off one of my hips, and I feel her push and punch my hips too. My midwife felt her at my last appointment also, and at the growth scan they confirmed she's head down.
Baby girl is head down.. I never feel anything at the top of my abdomen though, just my sides. I can tell when she flips because she starts punching the other side/hip
I'm not sure. You'd think with being a 2nd time mom I would know but I didn't have a clue with DD except when she was sideways across my belly bc my belly looked like a football. I can tell you that he is stuck on my left side as I have a lopsided bump but that is about it.
My dr has said she's head down.at previous appointments, I've tried feeling for her head or even her feet like people tell me I will be able to but no luck so far on figuring out what's what! I have another appointment tomorrow, of she's still head down at that point the chances of her not being for delivery are pretty slim.
I always ask my OB. I found that if I don't ask him things, he won't tell me. I thought that she had flipped breech after a flight I took over the weekend. Turns out she is still head down, but she pulled her head out of my pelvis, which is making it so hard to breathe. I'll ask again at my next appointment!
I am asking at my next appointment, but the one thing I know for sure is that the baby is sunny side up (I have strong movement all over my belly). By feeling, it seems like the baby is sideways most of the time, but she is still moving around a lot, even though she is running out of room. I second checking out spinning babies.com if you are interested in the position and don't want to ask your OB.

I can't tell. At my last appt, the doc told me where her butt and feet were, but he never said she was head down. I assumed based on where her butt was, that she is. I'll ask again at my appt tomorrow.

I had an u/s a few weeks ago to hopefully get a better look at the heart since there were shadows on the previous scan. Tech said baby was head down, though I could feel the punches near my belly button and stronger kicks in my ribs and side so I had a feeling. Doc told me if baby is head down by 30 weeks, it's uncommon for them to flip anymore, especially since it's more comfortable for them with the "leg room".
I can tell she isn't head down, because she likes to stick her head right under the right side of my ribcage. You can practically see the hump on the side of my stomach. I hope she flips soon because that shit is uncomfortable.
Re: Baby head down?
Last week at my 32 week appt, the doc told me the head was way down in the pelvis. It was still down there at today's appt.
I have another appointment tomorrow, of she's still head down at that point the chances of her not being for delivery are pretty slim.
