I just need a pep talk really and some advice. Actually this is probably going to be a vent to get this off my chest!
LO is 7 weeks. My husband is in the military and has been out of town for the entire month and it has been really draining. The first 2 weeks he was gone was ok as I was so busy between pumping and LO eating frequently.
This past week I traveled to Boston from Washington state for 10 days to stay with the in laws for help to break up the time he is gone.
The trip was awesome! DH has a huge family and everyone was so excited to see the baby. She did great the whole time we were there and was making lots of noises and smiling.
Now I feel since we've been home we have taken a huge step backward. She isn't cooing or smiling as much and I feel like I'm just not as entertaining as all the family she met last week.
I'm sure it's because I'm just stressed with DH being gone (He gets back Sunday!) but I am losing it over here feeling like I need an army to entertain her.
I've been talking and singing to her, getting down on the playmat and letting her swing for naps as well as running lots of errands and taking her outside with our dogs.
I got one smile today. One! Ugh!
What gives!
