tl;dr: Zachariah Louis was born June 23 at 6:02pm weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Longer story:

We checked into the hospital at 7:30 Sunday night to start an induction at 40weeks 2 days. Cervidil was paced around 9pm and we tried to get some sleep. By 10pm I was having irregular contractions at around midnight I was having regular contractions 2-4 minutes apart and spent a lot of the night walking and in the shower. Around 6:30am we opted for the epidural which took an hour to have done since I had been self hydrating and anesthesia required me to have a bag of fluid before doing the epi. I finally got some sleep and at 7:30am my OB was there taking the cervidil out because I'd been having contractions 30 seconds apart and baby was having some decels. After a short wait and watch period they gave me something to essentially stop the contractions and give LO a chance to relax. I went to contractions every 10 minutes and after a few hours of baby looking good we decided to try small doses of pictocin to see how baby would handle it. At this point I knew we were quickly heading to a c-section but desperately wanted to try to avoid it if possible. LO was handling the pic amazingly well but after a few hours of that and 19 hours after starting the induction I was still stuck at 1cm. I was left with two options: stop the induction, get some rest, eat and try again with cervidil or opt for the c-section. Before he even finished talking about the pro/con list of attempting cervidil again I was already telling him no we would be having the surgery.

The c-section went well, there was a small amount of meconium but he came out screaming with a full head of hair. we came home Thursday afternoon and recovery has been slow but steady for me. We are struggling with breastfeeding which is causing a lot of frustration but over wise everyone couldn't be happier. Now for the reason you clicked this...little squish pics:
