I'm jealous. I've lived in Hawaii for over 20 years and hula is something that does not come naturally for me LOL. On the bright side, both my kids are great at it Where is your husband from?
Girl, if I can do it you can do it. It just takes about a year of humiliation before it starts feeling natural! Heehee! And learning it in Cali was probably alot easier than in Hawaii. There were alot more "haolis" stumbling along with me. I LOVE LOVE keiki hula! I wish there was a halau in our area because I want my baby girl to at least learn the basics. (
Dh grew up in downtown Honolulu! He walked and rode the bus everywhere - the beach mostly! Never got his drivers license til his 2nd year of dental school and 6th year of living on the mainland! Haha!

My girls are going to start dancing again this Saturday. We alternate between soccer and hula. I can't wait to see them dance again.
My DH was a "townie" when he moved here, also catching the bus wherever he went. That is until I came along and convinced him to move into the 'burbs LOL.
