Survived Moving! Met my new OB!

Big couple of weeks for me (hence my complete and utter absence from the board)

We officially survived our move to TX.... let me tell you it was a close call!  The first day we got stuck in so much traffic our 7 hour drive turned into 12 and 1/2 hours!  Day two, we had been on the road for 10 minutes when we got a flat tire!  After that things did improve, and we made it here in one piece.  All of our stuff was delivered two days later and the only casualty was 1 champagne flute!  Hallelujah!

I met my new OB today, and love her!  She got all my notes from MFM and my OB in Virginia and had read through everything before I got there.  Was very thorough and said that the baby sounded great and I was doing "remarkably well" considering the stress I've been under and the complications I've had.

Our new place is amazing, and I'll probably take a bunch of pictures and totally AW it at some point in the next week or two :-)

  • Thanks everyone, we landed in San Antonio... I shopped at an HEB for the first time ever yesterday, and OH MY GOD I finally see what all the fuss is about.  I'm also already converted to Whataburger, and bought their fancy ketchup and mustard at said HEB.  Do you think I'll adapt to being here ok? LOL

I think I'll probably put up some pics of the house in about a week.  I'd like to get curtains and pictures hung up before my mom leaves.  I'm waiting on our security deposit from the old place before I can do any other "major decorating" but I'm excited to have a whole house to nest in!

The nursery will probably be done last, sorry to say.  But our babies always room in for the first 4 months anyway, so we've got time :-)

  • I don't know if they have them in Virginia, but you gotta try Braums! They have the best ice cream! And yes, Whataburger is the bomb!

  • Sounds like you're doing a great job of settling in! You must be so relieved to have the move behind you. Not that unpacking is a breeze...but some of that can wait (says the girl with a few boxes left from moving in 3 years ago). Your new OB sounds awesome :).
