3rd Trimester

Recommend your hospital/travel bag.

I am looking for a fun/cute bag that's great for overnights. I am thinking about how I will need something for the hospital but then in the future for overnight trips. Just looking for some new ideas. Thanks

Re: Recommend your hospital/travel bag.

  • I have two Vera Bradley bags that are a pretty decent size that I use for weekend trips and will use one for my hospital stay.

  • Mobile is not letting me add the other link, so here it is. I have a more simple black and white pattern but there are a ton of options.

  • I like the Thirty-one bags...also useful for outings with my toddler and pool and beach trips...etc.

  • I have packed a travel carry on suitcase with all the clothes for myself, my husband and our baby. We have a separate bag for snacks, a cooler for drinks and a toiletries bag.

I didn't go out and buy any specific bag for the hospital stay.

  • I have a Vera Bradley Weekender, that I plan on using as a hospital bag and probably as a diaper bag after that. I think it's a great size, and have already used it for weekend trips.

I've packed my carry on suitcase as well as a the little guy's diaper bag.
  • When I get around to packing the bags... I think I'll just use the diaper bag for the Little one's things and a normal carry on suitcase or duffel bag for mine/husband things. We also will be traveling 10 hours by car a month before the due date to the city with the hospital. (we live in a remote area where the health centre isn't able to deliver). So we plan to bring as little as we can anyways since we wouldn't want to travel back home after the birth with a cramped suv.
I'm not going to buy a bag just for the hospital... my DH would kill me! I have too many bags already as it is!
  • I def. wasn't going to buy a bag just for the hospital, I would use it in the future too for overnights. Thanks for your ideas and for sharing.

  • I used my ll bean canvas tote. DH used a back pack.
  • I already have a Vera Bradley Weekender that I use all the time and fits a lot, so I'll be using that. It's worth the money to me.
