Trying to Get Pregnant

PCOS Test came back normal?

Hi all, I'm newly TTC and based on past problems went for testing. I have missed periods sometimes up to 3 months in a row. My doctor decided to check thyroid, glucose, dheas and other levels. But they all came back normal. Is it possible for these levels to change? Amenorrhea or an ovulating that goes and comes back?

I'm going back to discuss my results in a few weeks, but in the meantime I'm confused.

Do you chart by chance? I ask because I'd like to see if you've been ovulating in those longer cycles or if you are having anovulatory cycles.

I'm starting to chart now in this past week. So far no ovulation but I know it's not long enough.

Yes I did have trouble, it took us sometime! :(. I would miss my period and so many negative tests. I thought at one point I couldn't get pregnant! Awful feeling. I had been told I could be having an non ovulating periods.

I did just have my first who I'm grateful and over the moon for. I just stopped breastfeeding at 5 months. So there's less of a chance of that. I'm trying so soon because I'm worried it might take a while again. My periods have been late and I suppose I'm attributing this to previous issues.

  • I have had anovulatory cycles, and long cycles, as you can see from my siggy it didn't prevent my ability to conceive.  Read the newbie blog and I also highly suggest Toni Weschler's Taking Charge Of Your Fertility- an excellent book.  Charting your temp is the best way to gauge wether you are ovulating or not.  Stick around and educate yourself.  Best wishes
